Read moreWho goes to a Tex-Mex restaurant in Florence? American families slightly tired of pasta looking for a little comfort, or one of the countless groups of 20-yr-old American girls who have yet to learn that tequila shots are a bad idea.
My family and I fell into the first group, and for me this place was a bit like the 1983 movie ‘Krull.’ Seemed like it ticked all the nostalgia boxes, but was ultimately an awful parody of a good experience. The premium margaritas were flavorless (who makes mezcal flavorless?!). Read moreThis is the second time we try this restaurant, and we are greatly disappointed. The first time the service wasn’t great, The food was OK but not what you would expect for authentic Mexican food. We had to continue asking for water or condiments a few different times, and we never received them. We asked for the bill and waited about 30 minutes with somebody to give it to us. We’re back in Florence A few years later, and we had a similar issue today we were greeted and seated immediately. However, they left us at the table with menus and never came to ask our order or anything to drink. We waited for about 10 minutes and another table was seated immediately, were given menus and got their drink order taken with in seconds, we were still waiting for a server to come to the table… we decided to leave. Not sure why the service was so horrible both times possibly because we’re tourists and not locals. I wouldn’t waste time there. There is a place not far from there that has authentic Mexican food and we are glad we found that place, as the food was...
