La Locanda Dei Pitti — Restaurant in Florence

Unfortunately, more appearance than substance. I honestly don’t understand the supposedly “good reviews. The restaurant has apparently only been open for two months and it shows.

The service definitely needs improvement. At times, the waitstaff didn’t understand what we wanted, unless the owner himself came to take the order.

The food overall was presented without care and lacked flavor. We had the Florentine steak as our main dish, which was very disappointing. Nobody asked how we wanted it cooked, and the meat turned out tough and almost well-done, far from the juicy, tender steak we expected.

We sat outside, but the “terrace” was very small and cramped. Inside the restaurant, the owner’s children were playing loudly, and there was loud pop music playing as well, not ideal for a relaxed dinner atmosphere.

Although there were some efforts to be attentive, the overall atmosphere wasn’t pleasant. For the prices they charge, I sadly cannot...

Amazing food here. I expected everything right in front of Pitti to be a tourist trap and it was not at all.

Very authentic. I had the papardelle with meat sauce and it was to die for. The bbq meatball app was good too.

Prices for this food were more than reasonable, they could easily charge more.

A reviewer below warned about the place next door trying to get you to come in. Actually, trying to hide from them is how we ended up ducking into this place!

The owner was extremely nice and told us about his family's olive oil production. It tasted fantastic. I bought a box with many small bottles of varietes to try.

We were promptly seated in a cozy private room, which added to the great ambiance and made for a comfortable dining experience. We indulged in several standout dishes: the tagliatelle di manzo, a truffle pasta special, and a truffle beef dish that was absolutely exquisite.
