Fantastic, precious, and unforgettable
Every dish was incredible, every glass of wine was perfect on their own and also paired well with the food.
When I opened the restaurant at the recommendation of a friend I met on a Tuscany tour, I had no idea how much I would fall in love with this place. I chose three food and wine pairings and received much more than I paid for.
The first antipasti was amazing, the tartare so beautiful that anyone would hesitate to put the fork on it, and the pasta with perfect tagaline noodles and great sauce were all the best. The cheese platter with three types of cheese also had different charms, so it was the perfect end to the meal.
The wine was also excellent, sparkling(Methodo Classico) and beautiful wines from Piedmont and Tuscany that went well with the food. In particular, Zeno's summer red Girlan Fass NR 9 Vernatsch 2022–if I could find it in Korea, I would have taken it with me for all the picnics in the summer!
However, Zeno and sfaff members even gave me a dessert as a gift, and I can't forget the taste of the soft cream that bursts out when I break the hazelnut chocolate shell—which also went so well with vin santo.
Thank you again for making my evening fantastic, precious, and unforgettable.
The reason I am leaving a review after almost a month is because I wanted to write with an organized mind after finishing the trip. I'll be back one day—hope we can see each other in the short term and be...
Read moreThis place is an excellent wine bar overlooking the pitti palace, but it is so much more than a wine bar. It also does outstanding food. The classic tasting menu with wine pairings that we got was some of the most exceptional food and wine we got in Florence, and it was only 60 euros per person. First came a little pre course appaletiser of the smoothest most unctuous chicken liver pate you can imagine with an acidic sweet saice that cut through the richness. Then there was a delicious sliced chicken breast with shaved asparagus and a moorish fresh mayonnaise. Then there was the tripe filled ravioli - a playful twist on the traditional tripe eaten by the florentines. This was only slightly Offaly, with a naturally sweet earthiness complemented by the pesto. Finally, last but not least, the most exceptional cheese board I have ever experienced (and I am a cheese connoisseur). How many restaurants have the confidence to just put three pieces of cheese in a plate and garnish it with a home made pear jelly and stop at that? Exceptional. And I know less about wine, but I do know that the wine complemented the food perfectly, and the waiter told us about the origin of each of the wines. Outstanding. We loved it. Go...

We made a reservation for lunch on our recent trip to Florence. This place came highly recommended by a coworker who visits this place religiously every trip. We opted to sit outside in the baking Florence sunshine. That is not an understatement.
For lunch it was 2 of us, myself and my veggie loving husband. For lunch, we started with the Fried Zucchini Flowers and the Prosciutto 24 Mesi with Truffle Gorgonzola. Holy ham!!
I wasn't a huge fan of the Zucchini Flowers, more so because I don't love fried food all that much. But the Prosciutto - order it if you eat pork! It was amazing and my tastebuds thanked me all day for it. For lunch entree we weren't starving, so we shared the Ravioletti di Robiola. When you're in Italy, there is something magical about the fresh pasta. This restaurant nailed it on quality and flavors.
The service was absolutely friendly and "service with a smile". They were so helpful and informative being first timers - we were so pleased! I highly recommend you come pay this place a visit if you are visiting Florence. The food and wine pairings...
