During my visit to Florence, I had the pleasure of discovering Machi Machi, located just steps away from Santa Maria Novella. Known as the "bubble tea shop that even Jay Chou loves," Machi Machi absolutely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere was stylish yet cozy, with a minimalist design that perfectly matched the brand’s aesthetic. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, offering helpful suggestions for first-time visitors. I ordered the Cream Cheese Foam Strawberry Smoothie, and it was honestly one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. I also tried their Black Milk Tea with Pearls, which had the perfect tea-to-milk ratio and wonderfully chewy tapioca pearls — just the right texture! What really impressed me was the attention to detail, from the elegant packaging to the freshness of the ingredients. You could tell everything was made with care. Literally the best boba tea place ever in Florence. I’ve tried so many other places but this one is the best in their taste, quality and everything.

Plus it’s such a cute place near the station, so if you’re catching a train don’t forget to treat yourself with this amazing boba place on your way.

The staff is extremely welcoming and kind and plus they have a photo wall, you can send your pictures and they will hang on the wall and I think it’s really cute.

A bit tricky to find since the shop is underground. Many tourists come here, but the place is way too small to fit everyone comfortably. I was surprised to see only one person working at the cashier, who sometimes disappeared to help with the drinks - we ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for ours.
