Terrible service who will judge you based on your appearance.

We had a reservation and after telling the server, he walked away and ignored us. It took us five minutes to get seated despite the restaurant not being busy and very relaxed. We then ordered two drinks where we had to remind the waiter twice about our order before being served them, after we got our food. The waiting staff also took a very long time to get our order. Once we received our food, we realized that they made one of our orders incorrectly. Our bill was brought to us and was shown incorrectly, stating that we ordered another drink and with the incorrect food item instead of what we received. Thankfully our server corrected the bill without a fight.

Of course, the man who entered much later than us but who was dressed well was given much better and faster service, and was offered free wine sampling. He somehow received his food in a proper timely manner and his bill arrived before ours despite us requesting before him.

The food is good, but the serving staff who think lowly of those who may not dress nicely and are younger really makes this experience unenjoyable. We were looking forward to having a nice meal at such a highly rated and recommended restaurant but were severely disappointed. We were originally planning on ordering a tiramisu as well, especially after hearing a table next to us complimenting it. But after the horrible experience and wait time, we decided against it. Despite spending so much time in Italy every year, we have never been big fans of Florence, so have not visited in three years, and one of the places that stood out in our memories from our last visit and those before was this spot, sitting in the little Seats outside, and on our first night back, walking from the Hotel Savoy nearby, we literally said, I hope we can find this place, it always reminds us of a place in Verona and we have no idea where it is - less than two seconds later, we passed it!

We have been visiting every night (the first night we spent chatting with a French couple with a Pomeranian as we had two beloved Pomeranians, watching the horse carriages go by as the Pomeranian barked at them). We have never had the food here, but we also don’t love Italian food, so that would not be fair for us to review anyway, but love the outdoor space in the little window - it is just so charming, and not a tourist trap, which is rare to find...

We had an odd experience at your restaurant this evening. We were seated quickly but then not served. Our waiter finally came to take our orders just as we're were wondering if we should leave, and gave us good recommendations for wine. We also ordered a small dinner. Our waiter ignored us after we got our food, and finally a second waiter came to clear our plates, was much friendlier, and got us a coffee. We asked our original waiter for our check, and after several walks past ignoring us, sent the second waiter with the check. I took the check to the front to pay and received kind treatment from the hostess as well. The food was good, the wine was good, but our service was confusing.
