We recently had the pleasure of visiting, and it was simply fantastic. Nestled in the heart of the city, yet accessed through charming, narrow streets, this spot is a genuine green oasis. It's the perfect escape from the bustling crowds, offering a serene and beautiful setting. We enjoyed an absolutely fantastic aperitivo, featuring a delightful selection of traditional Tuscan gastronomic specialties. Every bite was a treat! The staff were incredibly professional, dressed in smart uniforms, and truly on the ball. What truly made our visit memorable was the warmth and kindness of the director, Valentina. She was so welcoming and gracious, adding an extra layer of charm to an already wonderful evening. If you find yourself in Florence, do yourself a favor and seek out Serre Torrigiani in Piazzetta. We were walking around in our first night in Florence, and to be honest we just needed a bathroom. I saw they had cocktails and figured we'd just try it out.

Based on our night here I would 100% recommend this spot if you're looking for a spot to just relax and enjoy a nice atmosphere and good drinks. The bartenders were cool as hell and the drinks were surprisingly good!

I ended up just trusting the bartender to make us something that would set our first night out here on the right track and they delivered!

If you're looking for a cool vibe and just trying to enjoy a quick stop or even a place to relax, give this spot a try.

Heads up, they don't do table service (and that's not a negative), but go in and if they have time get to know the bartenders and let them cook.

Healthy food, shade and relaxed atmosphere

N43°46.266' E11°15.292' The best thing Serre Torrigiana in Piazzetta offers is a relaxed atmosphere, a place to hide from the midday sun and healthy (not cheap) food and drinks.

In June 2019, we ordered from the self-service bar hummus with toasted bread and freshly cut vegetables (€7), Caprese salad with mozzarella cheese and tomato (€8), Prosciutto cotto, courgette, carote, olive, prezzomolo (€7) and La contessa: smoked salmon, avocado, cream cheese (€7). This food, prepared in the small kitchen of the bar, tasted fresh and excellent.

With a good glass of Pino Grigio (€6), summertime juice (pineapple, orange, apple, ginger (€5)) and water, we recharged our batteries, enjoyed the Italian flavours and prepared ourselves for our next excursion to art and culture...
