I recently visited VENCHI, a gelato shop that promises an authentic Italian experience, and I was not disappointed. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the rich aroma of chocolate and freshly made gelato.

City after city, Venchi does not disappoint. After visiting many Venchi stores in various cities in Italy, I have finally found my favorite branch which is located in Florence of course.

The service was great, though there was a great line of people at the entrance standing in front of the shop, it moved impressively fast. The workers moved efficiently and calmly with a lovely smile.

The ice cream itself was phenomenal, creamy as ever and the flavor selection was extensive making the only issue “what should I pick”, which at the end I decided on the strawberry and fig (which is not typical in any Venchi store). Both the flavors were amazing, and I highly recommend the fig especially in a cone.

The atmosphere of the place did not highly affect me though it was not as warm as I would have loved. The interior design was like any other Venchi store, with bright lights and loud ornamentation. The store also lacked places to sit. Though those specifics did not affect my personal experience, as it is always a nice experience to walk around the city while enjoying the gelato.

All in all, Venchi did it again with a great selection of ice creams that are exclusive to the location, a lovely staff that works efficiently, and an atmosphere that is concealed with the beautiful interactions along the way.

The employees, excluding Sandy, were extremely unfriendly. Firstly, the female employee taking orders openly displayed her mood through facial expressions. Secondly, the female employee handling ice cream orders chatted non-stop with a male colleague, raising concerns about hygiene while preparing the ice cream. I selected a size for three ice cream flavors and informed the female employee about two, intending to decide on the third. As they continued chatting, I expected them to inquire about my remaining choice. However, abruptly, she added chocolate and handed over the ice cream. When I mentioned wanting one more flavor, the woman looked bewildered, and the chatting male colleague rudely suggested I speak all at once, citing other customers behind me. Despite only a couple of customers behind me, the uncertain atmosphere left me unsure if they were working or not. The service was truly appalling, and it's regrettable that such employees impact the renowned Venchi's brand image. After that I went to Crepe corner and gave the receipt to Sandy.
