I had dinner at this lovely restaurant on my last night in Italy before flying out in the morning. It was just around the corner from my hotel so I took the short walk around the block at 7:45. I didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat me at a nice two top in the front room. I ordered a special they were offering, Tagliatelle with Porcini mushrooms. The host (perhaps owner) told me they mushrooms were very good this year with the rain followed by some hot days. It was delicious and one of my most memorable pasta dishes during my 3 weeks in Italy.
Since it was just me I sat at a two top in the front near the entrance which allowed me to see all the locals coming in to pick up their take away pizza orders but not before catching up with the restaurant staff / owners. I know very little Italian but it was still fun to watch. I ordered the beef tenderloin with mushrooms – the meat was cooked to perfection: juicy, tender, and full of flavor, while the marinated mushrooms impressed with their deep aroma. My girlfriend went for the homemade pasta with truffles – the truffles truly took center stage, both in the sauce and as thin slices on top. The dish certainly highlighted the truffles, though some might find the flavor a bit on the monotonous side.
There was also a wide selection of local wines – Fabrizio from the staff not only helped us choose the perfect pairings but also enriched the evening with engaging conversation and insightful remarks. The service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable given the quality of the food and the overall experience.

Read moreSimply the BEST! Will attempt to explain the amazing food and experience we had at this amazing ristorante. We traveled to the many corners of Italy and more than 15 cities and towns and this is by far the absolute best restaurant of everywhere we went. From our excellent server Sabina to the best food. We started with the cheese and jam, and their excellent fresh cooked bread. We also had their house Chianti which was a perfect addition to our meal. The Ravioli was better than any I've ever had. After the main courses we had an amazing desert. The apple cake and cheesecake was superb, and also the best desserts of our trip. Sabina finished our meal with a special treat of their special liquors; pistachio, melon and lemonchello. All were fantastic. Truly an exceptional experience from top to bottom. Sabina is awesome and so is this top notch little...
