Trattoria Pizzeria San Giorgio — Restaurant in Genoa

If you are looking for real Italian food, do not go here!! It isn't Italian-owned and there were no Italians working at the establishment either. I have been coming to Italy every year for the last 12 years, so I would say that I'm generally knowledgeable on authentic Italian food.

The staff was rude and unprofessional. The waiters smelled and rolled their eyes a lot. We also got stale bread and parmesan cheese, but no plates and olive oil to go with it, even after politely asking for some. The food had no flavor and was just awful. The waitress bringing out the food kept sneezing and coughing into the food without covering her nose. Then thought about getting dessert but saw the dessert was premade and store-bought. I went to this restaurant with my friends, and I've never encountered more unpleasant and insulting servers. We asked to pay the bill separately because we were a group of six, but they told us it wasn't possible, even though it wasn't stated anywhere except at the payment counter, which I find very dishonest since the waitress didn't inform us of this, not even before she seated us. She told her colleague about the situation, next to us, and her colleague insulted us.

The food was okay for the pizzas, but our dishes (milanese) with fries had at most 20 fries on the side, and we had to point this out before they served us more.

I visited the pizzeria recently and had a decent experience. The pizza was good, but not exceptional. The service was average, and the ambiance could use some improvement. Overall, a decent place for a quick bite, but there are better options in town. 3 stars.
