Terrible Experience: Tiny Portions, Rude Staff, Overpriced, Ugly Location, and Reservation Canceled Rating: 1/5

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but my experience at "Il Pettolino" was so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others who might be considering dining here.

Minuscule Portions:

The portion sizes are absolutely ridiculous. The dishes served were so small that we initially thought it was a joke. The main course, which should have been the highlight of the meal, was barely a bite. After spending a considerable amount of money, we left the restaurant still hungry. It is unacceptable to pay such high prices for portions that feel more like a snack than a full meal.

Poor Food Quality:

The quality of the food was mediocre, nothing memorable. Given how small the portions were, I at least expected them to be flavorful and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the dishes were bland and lacked creativity. The ingredients didn’t seem fresh, and the presentation was uninspired. Honestly, we would have preferred a simple, home-cooked meal.

Rude Staff:

The staff was shockingly rude. When we politely expressed our dissatisfaction with the portion sizes, the waiter responded in an extremely unprofessional manner, even yelling at us. Such behavior is unacceptable and only served to further ruin our evening.

Reservation Canceled and Review Blocked:

To make matters worse, the restaurant canceled our reservation on TheFork even though we showed up as scheduled. This seemed like a deliberate attempt to prevent us from leaving a negative review. Since we paid by card and lost the receipt, we couldn’t even submit our feedback on Google to warn others. It’s clear that this restaurant isn’t interested in improving or listening to customer feedback but rather in hiding critical reviews.

Overpriced:

The prices are outrageously high for what’s offered. Paying such exorbitant amounts for low-quality food, tiny portions, and terrible service feels like a complete rip-off. There is absolutely no value for money, and I honestly feel cheated.

Ugly Location:

The location is equally disappointing. The ambiance is cold, uninviting, and lacks any charm. The furniture is outdated and poorly maintained, creating a depressing atmosphere. Given the high prices, I expected at least a pleasant environment, but that wasn’t the case. The location was the final nail in the coffin of an already awful experience.

Conclusion:

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. There are plenty of other places where you can find quality food, reasonable portions, polite service, a pleasant atmosphere, and, most importantly, respectful and transparent treatment. I WON´T definetely recommend it to anyone allergic to any sort of ingredient. We are celiac and came in assured there was gluten-free menu. After a considerable amount of time waiting, we got offered a dish with a massive loaf of gluten full bread on top. We asked for it to be removed and the waitress came in the kitchen, dumped the loaf of bread and offered us the same dish again. After explaining twice that the dish was already contaminated regardless, the waitress came back in again like 20 seconds after with the same decorated with a salad. It was such a hilarious moment that some of the other people in the restaurant starting laughing and supporting us. We left without having had anything for dinner, but paying for the couple of wine cups we had...

Non sono solito scrivere recensioni negative, ma l'esperienza vissuta al ristorante "Il Pettolino" è stata talmente negativa che mi sento in dovere di avvertire chiunque stia pensando di andarci.

Porzioni Insignificanti:

Le porzioni servite erano talmente esigue che sembrava uno scherzo. Il piatto principale, che dovrebbe essere il cuore del pasto, era solo un assaggio. Dopo aver speso una cifra considerevole, siamo usciti dal locale ancora affamati. È impensabile pagare cifre così alte per porzioni tanto ridotte.

Cibo Sotto le Aspettative:

La qualità del cibo era deludente e priva di sapore. Con porzioni così piccole, mi sarei aspettato almeno una maggiore cura nei sapori. Purtroppo, i piatti erano insipidi e mancavano di freschezza. A quel punto, avremmo preferito un pasto semplice fatto in casa.

Servizio Irritante:

Il personale è stato incredibilmente scortese. Quando abbiamo espresso educatamente la nostra delusione, il cameriere ci ha risposto in modo aggressivo, rovinando del tutto la nostra serata.

Prenotazione Cancellata:

Per aggiungere al danno, il ristorante ha cancellato la nostra prenotazione fatta su TheFork, anche se ci siamo presentati all'ora stabilita. Questo è sembrato un chiaro tentativo di impedirci di lasciare una recensione negativa. Inoltre, avendo pagato con carta e perso lo scontrino, non ho potuto lasciare un feedback su TheFork.

Prezzi Fuori Controllo:

I prezzi sono completamente sproporzionati rispetto a ciò che viene offerto. Spendere cifre così elevate per cibo mediocre, porzioni ridicole e un servizio scadente è inaccettabile. Mi sono sentito truffato.

Ambiente Sgradevole:

La location è altrettanto deludente. L'ambiente è freddo, privo di personalità, con arredamenti vecchi e mal conservati. Per i prezzi che fanno, mi aspettavo qualcosa di molto più piacevole.

Conclusione:

Sconsiglio vivamente questo ristorante. Ci sono molti altri posti dove potrete trovare cibo migliore, porzioni adeguate, un servizio cortese e un'atmosfera accogliente. Non metterò mai più piede a "Il Pettolino" e consiglio a tutti di evitare questo posto. Una serata che doveva essere piacevole è diventata un incubo, e l'unica cosa positiva è...
