Had enough pasta & pizza yet?
Nahhh you're in Italy, it's a rite of passage but when you're looking for something other than a plate full of carb drooling spaghetti or a round shape disc to fill your pits then Fratelli Ravioli will have you questioning why this place isn't on every insta-influencers latest Milan vlog post!
Right, let's get to it, what's with the name? You might be stumbling on the Italian name (Pssss hint, they're not actually Raviolis) and the fact it's a Chinese restaurant, the two don't usually mix like chalk and cheese but dammnnn they do, like Romeo and Juliet, they're a match made to make you fall in love with this place.
Starting with the bao buns, but not the hype ones that are on every single Asian fusion restaurant which charge you the price of a main meal for one, these were so soft and light they make your luxury pillows feel like concrete bricks. Filled with noodles, diced veg or juicy meat, they'll make you grin like a Cheshire Cat. 😁
And finally saving the best to last, the Raviolis, which are actually authentic Chinese dim sums, all handmade by the chefs inside (watch them make it fresh in front of your eyes) from the super soft red dim shells (they use beetroot to get the colour) filled with dices of scallops which are bathing in some umami crack like sauce, these felt like liquid gold melting into your taste buds, sending dopamine tickles to your brain. 👌

My husband and I just arrived and this was the first restaurant we went in Milan. We had the shrimp dumplings and the edamame to start our meal. Excellent. We also enjoyed the pork and cabbage dumplings. We had the Cantonese variety sampler—all were tasty. After we tried the squid sample, and liked it so much, we ordered them as well. Very reasonably priced. We also got a beer and white wine. Very nice atmosphere. We ate outside and I watched people go by on a warm spring...
Read moreFratelli is one of the few exemplary "dumpling" style restaurants in Milan. A straightforward menu and well balanced condiments (to match your desired flavor) make Fratelli's Ravioli a great destination for locals and visitors looking for something different. Have a seat at the counter and watch the experienced chefs put together delicious combinations just before you eat yourself tired. My favorite dumpling was the "Ravioli Di Cappesante alla Cantonese." I had too many to count but it's safe to say that every selection is...
