ORO restaurant — Restaurant in Milan

We loved this restaurant! My husband and I had dinner here our first night in Milano. They had just opened when we got there but we were tired and very hungry. :) They were super kind to give us Aperitivo as soon as we sat down and served us dinner as soon as they could. Everything was AMAZING! We had every course--prosciutto and mozzarella were incredible. We also had the rabbit ragu pasta--amazing, and baba' and LOTS of wine. The owners were there and are so kind and the service was great--wish I remembered our waiter's name, he was so nice! They made such an effort between my broken up Italian, and Spanish and English to take care of us. Will definitely go back when we visit...

I visited ORO restaurant at LUNCH.

First of all, excellent value-for-money! The food was great and the fixed menu choices are interesting and quite wide.

I had the PINSA, which is like a pizza but more Focaccia style. Great dough and very tasty tomato sauce. It's crispy and a different texture than the classic pizza, very approved.

I also tasted the MARE menu which was composed of Risotto mare, Calamari with zucchini sauce and Japanese alges. Eveything was VERY tasty. The risotto was super creamy and al dente.

The location is elegant and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and they take care of you right away.

Location soddisfacente, il parcheggio va a fortuna ma a Milano si sa. Su tutto il resto non ho nulla di positivo da dire. 18 persone posizionate su 6 tavoli a mangiare uno in braccio all'altro, un caldo atroce e non si respirava. Menù molto scarso e nemmeno troppo soddisfacente antipasti posizionati a caso da dividere con un numero indefinito di persone, pasta cruda, fredda e insapore. Avevamo al tavolo una persona con intolleranze che aveva chiesto di limitare l'uso dei formaggi, ovviamente non è stato fatto, e dopo aver richiesto un piatto di riso gli è stata servita ancora pasta al sugo con grana. Locale famoso per la cena cantata, caso vuole che la musica non andasse (esattamente come il condizionatore). Il top della serata è stato raggiunto quando dopo che un cameriere avesse rovesciato del cibo addosso ad una ragazza ed aver sollecitato almeno delle scuse, il cameriere stesso ci ha mandati a quel paese (per rimanere fini).
