Review for Restaurant Granaio
My visit to Restaurant Granaio was unfortunately disappointing, and I would like to share my negative experiences.
First of all, we were seated at a table for two right by the entrance. The door was open the entire time, making it very cold. Sitting comfortably without a jacket was impossible.
The food was served quickly, but we were not offered any bread, while all other tables received bread. This was the first downside.
The quality of the food was average, but the portion sizes were extremely small. For instance, I had only six tortellini on my plate, for which I paid €16.50. This translates to €2.75 per tortellini, which is definitely too much.
When we wanted to pay, we had to wait 12 minutes because there was only one credit card payment device. This caused unnecessary delays and inconvenience.
The conditions of the restrooms were particularly disappointing. Both the men's and women's restrooms were completely filthy. The floors were covered in urine, the toilet seats were dirty, the trash cans were overflowing and unusable, and there was no toilet paper left. Used toilet paper was scattered everywhere.
Washing hands after this unpleasant restroom visit was hardly possible, as all soap dispensers were empty.
Conclusion: Restaurant Granaio is not recommended. You get little for a lot of money here. The service is poor, and the restrooms are a disaster. It is better to walk a few meters further to a better restaurant. For us, the visit was definitely...
Read moreThis place deserves a rating lower than zero. It is as terrible as the worst restaurant experience ever. I have been to many restaurants all over Europe, but my experience here does not match my worst experience in this continent. It is worse than worst!!! The waiter got my order all wrong. I ordered a Parma panini, but I got Parma ham with melon. So I returned it, clarified the error, and waited a horribly long time before I finally followed it up. My daughter already finished her meal while I haven’t received mine. The waiter assigned to our table gave an insincere apology as he cursed into the order screen which was right beside us. When I finally stood up after canceling my order, the order was hurriedly dropped into the counter as I was paying. The snooty manager did not even give a hoot or a simple gesture of apology for the mishaps we experienced. To make matters worse, I paid 33 Euros for a lasagne, 2 panini sandwiches, and a bottle of water. Can you believe that? All these because I did not read the Google reviews which were also mostly negative before heading out for dinner. I don’t think it really matters to them because unknowing tourists, like us, are the perfect victims. Be...
Read moreCame across this place and decided to give it a try. All was pleasant till our orders were placed as we waited for almost 30 mins before our appetizer of grilled prawns arrived. It was just ok .. not much flavor. Then we had to wait at least another 30 mins for our main of pastas rage and pizza. Another customer came in just after we placed our orders but she was served her pizza (same type) first. We asked a waiter to check on the delay, he returned from the kitchen but never came back to explain. A further 12 mins later I asked another waiter and again no one came back to explain. 12 mins later our food arrived. Was very disappointed and insisted on wanting to know why such a delay; 3 wait staff that gathered around could not explain and had to defer to the manager who claimed that their kitchen is located upstairs so therefore it took time. When I pointed out how the customer next to us had her food served first, he could not explain. Very disappointing service .. pasta was also too salty and ordinary .. I would not recommend this restaurant .. we had no choice because it was Easter Sunday and many places we wanted to dine at...
