Tourist here from Canada - this was my very first pizza ever in Italy as it was right next to our Airbnb.
The pizza was OK (I hope Milano has better) but the service was pretty miserable. Soon as they knew we were tourists we were forgotten about.
We sat at the end of our meal for probably 15min and I made eye contact with the server like 5 times as he walked by. Eventually I just waved him down and asked for the bill. Maybe I'm new to things here, but when I'm eagerly looking at a server dead in the eyes multiple times over a 15min period I think that's enough to annoy anyone. I had to do the same earlier in the meal to get a second drink as well. It's like they treat you like you're not going to spend enough money to make them happy, but at the same time ignore you to the point where you literally can't even spend your money lol. Backwards.
Wouldn't go back lol. For the Canadians - it has Boston Pizza vibes. AKA...
Read moreWe were misled about the fixed price menu and overcharged. I would have given 0 stars, but that's not possible. Having asked for the advertised fixed price menu on the board outside the restaurant, which was €12.90 pp, we were offered one choice of 1st course and 1 choice of main course. Disappointed there was not the choice from 2 dishes per course, as on the board, we accepted the dishes offered. However, after agreeing to this, we were subsequently charged full al la carte menu price for the 2 courses, plus a bottle of wine, with a bill of €76!!! On disputing the bill, they waitress then said fixed price menu was lunchtime only - not once was that relayed to us when ordering the meal. Management was extremely rude. Avoid this place at all costs. Food is mediocre at best. It was a plate of pasta when all said and done. Who can't serve...
Read moreWe didn't have the chance to eat here, but I wanted to acknowledge the kindness of the staff. When we stepped off the public bus, a Milan-summer-rainstorm (of epic proportions) began. We pushed ourselves inside the tiny alcove of their door in a futile attempt to save our clothes, hair, and luggage. After a few moments, the door opened and we were warmly welcomed inside. Dripping wet, we found relief until the storm had passed. To be clear: the restaurant was not open. Staff was inside meeting ang preparing for their day. Their attention and kindness (without reward) is a testament to their character. Grazie mille for showing kindness to strangers: Others visit Italy to see the sights - I go to experience the kindness...
