San Carlo al Corso Cafe&bistrot — Restaurant in Milan

If you want to test vintage Italian pastries and breakfast, you have to visit San Carlo Al Corso Cafe. It has been our coffee and delicious pastries treat every afternoon. The cafe provides great atmosphere, services, and most importantly espresso and assorted pastries and desserts. Let’s first start with working staff. They are very friendly and many times getting out of their way to provide utmost service. The owner/manager was very alert to get feedback from all customers. She is just doing great job. Also, Dunia- the waitress- was very friendly and welcoming and she helped us to select parties and dessert everyday.

All in all, if you visit Milano and you need to test the real Italian coffee, pastries and breakfast, you have to put this cafe in your top list. You can come at early morning or afternoon for your day treat.

Do una stella solo perché non posso dare meno. Le pietanze di questo bistrot sono buone, peccato per la totale inettitudine del personale, evidentemente abituato a prendere in giro i turisti che prova a fare lo stesso con persone che lavorano in centro. Oltre ad essere stati poco cortesi (se non addirittura scocciati) rientrano in quella categoria di persone che non sono in grado di lavorare nella ristorazione in centro a Milano. Ordiniamo 4 paccheri burrata e pomodoro (in pausa pranzo, con un evidente ritardo) e ci vengono servite penne con ragù di pesce, insistendo nel dire che il sugo fosse lo stesso e che i paccheri fossero finiti e che per rifarli ci sarebbero voluti 20 min (che in ogni caso, prima di servire un piatto diverso, va chiesta una possibile sostituzione che sia di gradimento al consumatore); due di noi per via della fretta hanno ingurgitato le penne, nel frattempo il cuoco ha fatto capolino preparando agli altri due colleghi (di cui una allergica al pesce) I PACCHERI in due minuti netti!! Succede la stessa cosa a un ragazzo nel tavolo a fianco, ragù di pesce invece che di carne. Chiediamo la focaccia tre volte e ci viene risposto che non ne hanno più, un minuto dopo ci portano tre focacce. Ordino un ginseng e mi viene portato un normale. In mega ritardo lasciamo il conto aperto per parlare alla proprietaria OGGI, la quale con fare scocciato: gli errori capitano, alla fine avete consumato quindi posso togliervi 2 euro di coperto. Oltretutto la mia collega che ha lasciato la recensione si è presa pure della bugiarda. Vergognatevi. Comunque tranquilli, un intero negozio non metterà più piede nel vostro locale, la cortesia non è di casa purtroppo. A seguito della vostra risposta si può solo asserire che non conoscete cosa sia la cortesia, perché rispondere con tono arrogante “eh alla fine avete consumato però” dopo che ci sono stati errori ENORMI (semplicemente avevate il ragù di pesce in scadenza e dovevate farlo fuori, nelle cucine ci sono stata parecchie volte per vostra sfortuna quindi SO cosa succede) non è cortesia. Caso strano a TUTTE le recensioni negative rispondete che sono bugie ahahah dai su. Autogol per cosa? Per aver detto la verità? Non sono certo stata io ad essere negligente, e non sono certo io ad avere un ristorante in centro, e il cagotto di notte l’abbiamo avuto noi, non voi. Fatevi due domande se avete 3.7 stelle, e specialmente un bagno di umiltà, siete così inviperiti che non avete nemmeno letto che ho scritto che il cibo è buono ma che il servizio e lo staff peccano di professionalità....

Real disgrace to Milan, we have Italian family and friends who said the same thing when we mentioned this encounter.This is a place where a waiter called me names even though all I did was order a coffee. I have travelled quite some world but this was a first time in over 40 years to ever experience such a thing! Someone who claims to be the owner was extremly rude and abusive using swear words I dont even have in my vocabulary. Absolutely shocking, this person calling himself owner with very poor personal hygiene. When we asked him what was his issue and why is he insulting us he had nothing just more abuse.
