CAUTION: HIGH RISK FOR PICKPOCKETING. Our experience at this location was deeply disappointing for various reasons, but the most significant concern was the prevalence of pickpocketing. If you choose to sit outdoors, there are no barriers to shield your belongings. My partner and I had just received our pizzas, and I was already disheartened because the pizza I ordered was incorrect. When we informed the waiter, he claimed not to understand so to not make a big deal i ate it. Regrettably, the pizza was not satisfying.
A few minutes after receiving our pizzas, two women approached us from behind. One of them was holding a baby and a piece of paper, which she used to obscure my partner's phone. Meanwhile, the other lady positioned herself on the opposite side and grabbed at my partner's pizza. In this distraction, the other woman managed to steal the phone right off the table. We only realized this unfortunate incident moments later, long after the women had left. We told the waiter what happened and of course he did nothing to help and DID NOT offer to give us a new pizza even though they touched our food. We went looking for them and found another group of guys who had their phone stolen the same way. Phone is long gone now. BE EXTRA CAREFUL NEAR THE DUOMO. Sit inside at restaurants or keep belongings on you body and secured. People are...
Read moreThe service was lacking, though I’ve been told this is the typical experience in Italy. We were sat upstairs and told that they would do table service. Very slow to come take our order, after over 20 mins I went downstairs to friendly inform that we’re ready to order. The server was very uninterested and bothered taking our order.
When the food came, one pizza was missing. The same server came up and when I explained a pizza was missed, she repeatedly said “no”, adamantly even though I was clear with my order. I was very understanding and just said it’s okay, we can just add it now and it can come later. She then said she assumed we had already ordered enough.
When we went down to pay, no smile and very bothered. Despite this, the pizzas have a great base and are a good standard (fairly messy to eat). Fine for a simple...
Read moreGreat little pizza/flatbread place located about a 5 minute walk from the Duomo in Milan. It may look like an unassuming venue from the ground floor, all you can see is a walk up window, a counter, some pizza ovens and a couple of fridges for drinks and a couple of stools. They also have room above the restaurant that has a long bar and about a dozen stools, as well as outlets to charge your phone at. We had the magherita and the pear and walnut pizzas. They come in two sizes, small and regular, the small is about half the size of a regular, which has 8 slices. They also have several bottled beers from Italian breweries which you won't find at the restaurants, which generally serve Moretti/Peroni. Would definitely recommend if you're...
