I don't even know which is worse, the food or the service. First of all, let me say that Georgian food has been one of my favorites for 20 years, and I know it very well. Unfortunately, the food at this restaurant has nothing to do with Georgian food. The kebab is very bad - tough and clearly not made of quality meat. Khachapuri is very average, khinkali too, they don't hold their shape at all, and cooks are clearly saving on meat. Thanks at least for the broth inside. The appetizers are just a shame. 3 slices of tasteless eggplant for 8 euros. But the most disgusting thing is the expensive, watery, completely tasteless wine that you have to wait 20 minutes for. If you want to order Italian wine - forget it, they only offer cheap Pinot Noir. And all the dishes are brought to you at the same time, not waiting until you finish at least with appetizers. The waitress confuses the dishes and doesn't know their composition. The hostess is not friendly either. By the way, all this also costs completely inadequate for this quality. In the comments here, the owners write that they have cooks with great experience and knowledge of Georgian cuisine. Well, their experience and knowledge is absolutely no guarantee that they know how to cook. And this restaurant proves it. If I were a Georgian, I would be ashamed and offended that the great cuisine of my country is shown to foreigners in this way. Bad, expensive, tasteless, unfriendly.
UPD: The hosts' response is an eloquent demonstration of their blatant unprofessionalism and disrespect for their guests. Instead of listening to the comments and becoming better, they take offense like little child and pathetically declare their merits, but do not respond to specific claims. Serving all the dishes at once is a tradition? Ok, and sitting all this time without wine when all the dishes are already on the table is also a tradition? Actually, that's a real shame, and no Georgian would tolerate it. Is confusing the dishes a tradition, too? Not knowing what they're made of is a tradition? What makes an olivier in a Georgian restaurant? Less pathos and more work on yourself! Then, perhaps, the food will...
Read moreIt was quite hard to communicate with the staff: the hostess and the waitress were cold and unfriendly and didn't speak with us other languages than Italian, even though we have mentioned that we, unfortunately, do not understand Italian very well. We have done a reservation for a New Year's Eve and were not informed that it will be possible only to have a menu without a possibility to order a la carte. Also this information wasn't available on the website or anywhere else. The situation was saved only by the old lady who works there and was able explain to us what to expect. The ordered bottle of wine wasn't presented in a proper way and was served without a tasting option. Overall the New Year's Eve evening was spoiled by the most unfriendly service we ever had which made us feeling very uncomfortable and not being welcomed, but still thanks to the old lady who tried to smooth this experience. Giving respect to our Geogian friend who has recommended us this place, we would not return here anymore next times on our trips to Milano and also give him this information...
Read moreBeing familiar with eastern European food as I have friends from Georgia, Armenia, Russia... my wife and I were delighted to find this Georgian restaurant just next to our hotel. Everything was very good, the menu is very complete and diverse. The food was very good and indeed authentic; we went two evenings in a row and will most probably come again during our short stay in Milano, and both times I ordered a lot of food, thinking when starting the first dish that it would be too much and will have some to take home for breakfast the next day, but ending up finishing it all !! Even without any appetite, you will enjoy the food there. The service was very good, the food quickly served so we could enjoy it all at the same time (very important and traditional), and we had a lot of laughs and funny moments with the hostess, and felt that familiar ambiance that goes with such a cherished moment as eating and drinking! I'm looking forward to coming a third time with my wife before we leave Milano. Best surprise of our trip here. Much love from HungryMan and...
