The restaurant looks amazing. The design and aesthetics are really sophisticated and luxurious. Then came time to eat. For entrée we ordered bruschetta with tomato which was a bit burned on the sides, but it was good. The olive was amazing.
For the main course the most unexpected happened - the waiter changed our napkins and brought USED AND DIRTY napkins. He saw my napkin was dirty, but quickly turned it on the side. I though it was just a stain, but when I looked, it was used. My husband's napkin as well...! Anyway, we told the waiters and they swiftly changed. For such a nice place, giving used napkins then substituting them with wrinkly napkins is very out of place.
The main course we ordered gnocchi alla sorrento, which was very, very good! The person who greeted us and gave us the check was very polite and nice. We're going back tonight, so I hope I will change my review to 5 stars.
Edit: went there again, the food is simply amazing. Not giving 5 stars because one of the members of the staff is less capable than the others. The owner/manager is always very helpful and...
Read moreAfter a day sightseeing we had an hour to wait for our train, and decided to have drink, however on opening the door ( not even entering ) the premises we were met by a very unhelpful young waiter who barked it was food only and wine when we asked if we could have a table for drinks - he was joined by another waiter who looked equally unwelcoming . Another male, I assume was staff was sitting at a table and just glared at us, my husband stated wine would be lovely however I did not feel comfortable going in with the initial reception we received and we left. I would like to point out there was only one table being occupied by people our age ( 50’s) drinking water and wine - no food visible. Clearly they did not want the custom but the initial impression of the place to me was hostile. I would not return or recommend. It’s a pity as we are well travelled but I don’t think I’ve ever felt so...
Read moreThe weather was rainy so we were trying to find anywhere to eat and we settled on this restaurant. It was completely empty when we went in, and that should've been our first sign. There are no menus, you have to order through a qr code, which is a bit inconvenient. I ordered mozzarella balls, and while the cheese was good quality, I feel like paying 6€ for 5 tiny balls of cheese is a bit of a disappointment. The potatoes I got as a side for my chicken didn't seem fresh, as if they were refried on a pan, and the side salad was just plain iceberg lettuce with olive oil and a wedge of lemon. The onion pasta my mom got is probably an acquired taste for some, but even then, it was pretty oily and I feel like there was too much onion compared to the amount of pasta. Also other than the food, the bathroom did not have locks on the toilet doors, which is pretty...
