Probably the worst waiters we’ve experienced in our lives. It started off by them having discussions in front of us on who “has to do the work” and serve us. Whilst we were looking at the menu a waitress decided to look over our shoulders saying “I’m just looking at the menu”. The waitress (after rolling her eyes) then reluctantly took our order, without saying a single word throughout the process. We ordered food for 4 people, the first 2 plates (pizza) were served within a reasonable time, the third plate (pasta) came shortly before the 2 pizzas were all eaten already. The fourth plate never came at all because apparently the chef had “forgotten” to make it. Therefore we left with 3 fed mouths and a still hungry one. Our decision to leave the restaurant was not exactly met with sincere apologies to say the least. During the whole dining experience the waiters were shouting at each other and behaving very passive aggressively. I guess they really live up to their name (rude). If you’re in for a horrible experience this is the place for you. I would give 0 stars, but the food (the one we actually got) was good and the spot in the shade was very beneficial in the...
Read moreAwful experience. We had to wait more than 40 minutes from when we ordered to when the dishes arrived. We ordered a salad, a fried cod, a chef's risotto (rice with lemon) and a pasta with provola, sausage and pistachio. The salad was poor in ingredients, the risotto seemed only boiled, because it was bland, with a simple spread of lemon. The pasta was raw, be careful, not al dente, the sauce bitter and pasty. the fish very peppery but not bad. To drink, one liter of water and a half of house wine. the bill, more than 25 euros / person each, too much for simple and very poorly prepared dishes, even if there was a lot of time available... Unfortunately the place is very touristy and when this is the case you focus on the huge comings and goings of people and you don't pay attention to the quality of what is prepared, very sad. I can't recommend it to anyone, it's a joke, both in price and in the quality of the food, absolutely not in line with the delicacies you can taste in Naples and the surrounding area. Please avoid crowded and...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this gem, on the first night we were staying in Naples. It can be confusing looking at the different menus when you aren't sure what the options are! It also wasn't far from our hotel, and the whole area was a hub of activity. Everyone was friendly and welcoming as well. We found eating out cheap when compared with other European destinations.
The menu is large and out the front, but don't let that put you off. The staff will ask you what you are looking for and talk you through the menu. We were shown inside to a table and made to feel very welcome indeed. Once we made our choices, we got to chatting with the staff about what we had been doing that day and before we knew it, the food had arrived.
Our food was so good, the service so friendly, and the price so reasonable, that we returned for a 2nd visit during our time in Naples. Our service on both nights was provided by Vincenzo, who was an absolute delight on both occasions.
Don't walk by this venue. There's plenty of food to choose from, and you'll be glad...
