Great flavors, disappointing management behavior.
We ordered a strawberry smoothie, a tiramisu, and a latte macchiato, and although they all tasted fantastic, we had to wait over 15 minutes for them to be served â which felt excessive considering the cafĂŠ wasnât too crowded.
The waiter was very polite and professional, and the food itself was truly enjoyable. However, the experience was soured by the unpleasant behavior of a bald man who seemed to be the manager.
He stood near the restroom area during our entire visit, watching security footage on his phone. While I was waiting for the restroom, I politely asked him twice in English, âExcuse me sir, are you in line, or may I go in?â â using a respectful and calm tone.
He clearly heard me but completely ignored me, not even glancing up â as if to say, âYouâre not worth responding to.â Moments later, he immediately responded to a staff member who spoke to him, proving he was fully aware and simply chose not to acknowledge me.
A kind staff member eventually told me I was free to use the restroom and that the man was not waiting.
Bottom line: While the drinks and dessert were excellent, and the service from the waiter was warm, the managerâs arrogant and dismissive behavior made me feel unwelcome. I personally wouldnât return â respect and human decency matter just as much as good...
Read moreAs many reviewers mentioned below, the food and drink are very nice, BUT they just charge you whatever they want. They deserve 5 stars if the waiter didnât try to cheat us on the bill. We ordered 2 pizza, 1 coffee and 2 tea, the waiter told me itâs âŹ37 (with his own handwriting bill). He also told me the bill including 10% service charge, but not including tips for himself. We insisted to see the printout of breakdown receipt, then he bring us a bill which is âŹ27 only. Said he made a mistake, itâs âŹ27 not âŹ37. We checked the bill and there isnât anything about 10% service charge. Still left âŹ1 tips for him. So, if you do have to eat there, donât be embarrassed asking for the receipt, because itâs shame on...
Read moreAfter two attempts to get served I ordered, in fluent Italian, an espresso, while seated. After a long wait I was served an espresso dolce, lukewarm. The espresso was capped with what can only be described as a thick sweet scum. Not what I ordered. When I asked why it was sweet I was told âeâ cosĂŹâ implying that I did not know how an espresso should be. This was a first for me. Apparently it was my fault for not specifying that I wanted an espresso âamaroâ. In Italy I usually take my espresso standing at the bar but on this occasion I was seated as I was with two friends who preferred to sit. It was difficult to get any service. âŹ11 for a tea, a cappuccino and an espresso. Disappointing. Not...
