Nestled humbly in its corner, Isso Osteria is a true embodiment of heartfelt hospitality and culinary mastery. Helmed by owner and chef Renato, this intimate restaurant radiates warmth the moment you step through its doors. What sets Isso Osteria apart is not only the excellence of its cuisine but the sincerity and grace with which every guest is treated.
Unlike the hurried pace of many contemporary establishments - such as the one just across the street, Signora Bettola, where we felt rushed through our meal - Isso Osteria invites you to slow down, savor, and connect. Here, dining feels personal, never transactional. You are not merely a customer; you are a welcomed guest in Chef Renato’s home.
Despite leading a small team, Chef Renato orchestrates the service with remarkable precision and poise. Even at full capacity, the dining experience flows seamlessly. Each course arrives at the perfect moment - never too early, never delayed - reflecting not just efficiency but deep respect for the diner’s experience.
What makes Isso Osteria truly special is Chef Renato himself. On both our visits, he personally stepped out from the kitchen to present his creations - a gesture so genuine and rare in today’s dining scene. His ability to balance the artistry of cooking with the attentiveness of a gracious host speaks volumes of his passion and dedication. His presence in the dining room adds a personal touch that transforms the meal into an experience of connection and authenticity.
The ambience of Isso Osteria perfectly complements the food - warm, relaxed, and unpretentious. The staff embody quiet professionalism: attentive yet unobtrusive, intuitively anticipating guests’ needs without ever interrupting the flow of conversation. It’s a rare harmony of service and space that allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the moment.
Though Isso Osteria is a relatively new addition to the dining scene, it already displays the finesse and heart of a restaurant destined for greatness. With Chef Renato’s leadership, impeccable timing, and genuine care for his craft and customers, it would come as no surprise to see this humble Osteria earn recognition from the Michelin Guide in the near future.
Isso Osteria is not just a restaurant - it’s an experience of warmth, precision, and authenticity that leaves a lasting impression. A sincere congratulations to Chef Renato and his team; may their journey continue to flourish...

We were the first ones in the restaurant, and the waiter immediately made us feel welcome—checking in often, making sure we were comfortable, and engaging us in genuinely great conversation. He even started us off with a glass of champagne, which set the tone for a truly unforgettable evening. This wasn’t just dinner—it was an experience.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, striking that perfect balance between cozy and elegant.
The food was absolutely phenomenal. My partner ordered the octopus, and he loved it so much that he was genuinely sad when he took the last bite. Every dish we had was bursting with fresh, authentic Italian flavors—perfectly balanced and beautifully plated. You could truly taste the care and passion in every bite.
To top it all off, the chef came out to greet us personally, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. It’s rare to feel so seen and appreciated as a guest. You could tell he truly cares about the experience and the guests.
And for dessert, the Tiramisu is an absolute must. Not only was it the perfect sweet ending to our meal, but it also came with a magical presentation that made the moment feel extra special.

Read moreI’ve been traveling from the Dolomites down to Sicily for the past two weeks, and Isso Osteria has easily been the best dining experience of my entire trip — honestly, maybe of my life. The food, the vibe, the atmosphere… everything completely blew me away.
I came in with an open mind and asked the owner, manager, and waiter to surprise me with their top three seafood dishes. They started me off with an unbelievable sardine appetizer, followed by a seared tuna prepared in a Spanish style, and finished with a perfectly cooked octopus. Every bite was incredible.
The owner was warm and welcoming — we even shared a Jefferson together — and just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, they brought out a dessert that completely blew me away.
If you’re in Naples, do not miss this place. You won’t find a better restaurant anywhere....
