Trattoria Zia Rosi — Restaurant in Naples

I wouldn't recommend this place , on any level. There was constant shouting between the kitchen and restaurant staff regarding relaying tables and where new customers should be seated. Which made the whole experience very stressful . The food,all various types of pastas, when they arrived ,at different times,were all a mixture of undercooked and overcooked pasta. We could only conclude they were running out/ low,hence the mix. As for the 'single' Meatball Ragu pasta two of us had, I can honestly say the salt content was higher than the meat content ,very disappointing dish. When we declined dessert the bill was thrust upon the table almost immediately,and the table place mats removed before we had even finished our wine.infact I was forced to finish my red wine as we were lead away from the table so they could relay it. It was me and my family's only regret in Italy. We can't even bare to remember it. We were just gonna have one meal and the guy in the market told us this place was the best for pasta so we went but it was a disaster. We ordered 3 plates but couldn't even finish 1. The cook and the waiters were literally shouting so much, my dad asked them to be quiter please and the waiter said we are just talking with a mocking and humiliating voice. He also did that when he was giving the pasta. "Enjoy" with the most annoying tone. We were stilly hungry and humiliated when we left. Restaurants in the centre of Napoli do not come greater than this. We came early for dinner and we’re greeted with a warm welcome from ALL the staff. There was no music but it didn’t need it because the family atmosphere with the conversations and the dog make you feel truly at home. If I could show anyone the definition of ‘heart warming food’, it would be this place. They made us food that wasn’t on the menu and catered to us. The Parmegana Melanzane was easily the best I’ve ever had and would highly recommend. The prices were a bargain and if anyone wants to feel welcome in the Spanish Quarter, please come here you won’t regret it.
