Zio Jack — Restaurant in Naples

Me and my wife we had the very bad idea of trying Zio Jack tonight and man.. I wish we would have chosen differently !! We sat outside in what seemed to be a welcoming outdoor space.. just to realize that only one or two feet was the maximum distance from any adjacent table.. in seconds we also discovered that we sat between track of an incredible LOUD MUSIC !!! Tecno !!! Really??? But there's more.. since we had to wait to be seated we made the wrong decision to stay and order some food.. that only took 1 hour and twenty minutes to come out.. oh.. with missing sides and wrong cuts.. It sort did look decent and now it was 10pm.. ok let's eat and run from this hell !!! Nope.. no eating because two of the four tables ( that are still 2 feet away from any direction ) decide to all light up their cigarettes and start puffing all around us.. I am not sure if that is legal in Italy, but let me tell you.. both me and my wife at that point we were so sick that we both ran to the toiled and trow up. Last comment on service.. poor, careless and pathetic. We had to pay our bill and leave with, of course, no intention to ever return to Zio Jack !!! I sincerely suggest to everyone that will read this review to look for another place.. any place will be better...

Where do I even begin? This so-called "steakhouse" was one disappointment after another.

Starters Artichoke Drowned in cheap, low-quality oil. No seasoning, no flavor… just greasy, soggy sadness. Corn also swims in the same nasty oil. Who wants to eat corn that tastes like nothing but old fryer grease? Salad Boring, uninspired, and so basic, it could’ve come from a 90s cafeteria. No dressing, no creativity—just a sad pile of lettuce.

Main Course We ordered something italien meat. but got some mystery cut of meat because the server didn’t even know what ribeye was. We asked, got a blank stare, and were served a random slab of beef. It tasted like nothing—not juicy, not flavorful, just dry and forgettable. To this day, we still have no idea what we actually ate.

Service: Some waiters were nice but completely clueless. If they don’t even know basic cuts of steak, why are they working at a steakhouse? Others seemed like they’d rather be anywhere else.

Final Verdict Overpriced, low-effort, and downright embarrassing. A steakhouse that can’t cook, can’t serve, and can’t even identify its own meat? Avoid...

Horrible experience. The food was meh, not worth the costs. They charge 12% for service which is way to much for the actually service; they staff barely talks, they put the cutlery in the middle of the table without much care of where they put it. We had a starter which was for 2 persons, yet when the starter came it was on one plate, though it had 2 breads so they could've easily put it on the second plate themselves. The meat wasn't the worst, but certainly not worth that much money, way to much grease still on it, which the staff could've easily cut themselves. Also the staff didn't ask once how the food was.

So I confronted them about this and told them I thought 12% for service was way too much. They didn't care, almost forced me to pay, and didn't want to solve anything. They told me it's normal, but it's not. Normally a restaurent charges 1.50 or 2 euros per person for service.

I'm unsatisfied with the food, service and the staff. Won't come back here, and certainly will tell people to avoid this place, there are so many great restaurents in Naples, this is not...
