Caffè Borsa — Restaurant in Palermo

The square is simply beautiful with the façade of the Grand Hotel Borsa. With marvellous flowering trees in front of it. No car traffic. But a few dogs. Café Borsa is an unagitated, relaxed place. Practical furniture outside (Coca Cola ;-) ). So nothing stylish.

They never serve Tramezzini (although it's on the menu, but maybe it's been cancelled in the meantime). But there is non-alcoholic beer (bravo!) - unfortunately not at all common in Palermo.

There are two Talés one which sells burgers and sandwiches, and the other just across the piazza sells traditional Sicilian food, which is the one we visited. The food was very tasty, we had a caponata, a swordfish steak and a pasta dish amongsy other things. The waitress was charming and spoke good English and the bill was smaller than...
