Fantastic gelateria on the main street in Palermo running from the sea up to the cathedral and Norman Palace. Not a massive selection of flavours but the five that my family tried were all exceptional. I had pistachio but, then again, I only ever have pistachio. It is my simple test for how good Italian ice cream is and can be. My wife’s dark chocolate and cherry was astounding and unlike anything I had ever tasted before. Stracciatella, coffee and peanut caramel were also excellent. My Italian isn’t that great but the shop owner seemed to be saying that the price was the same whether you had one, two or three scoops. Huge if true and that would represent amazing value because the price charged was €2.80. In Rome or London that would be more than €5....

Great gluten free offering - cones are GF and wrapped separately and the gelato is kept separate. As a coeliac, this is very good to see.
Unfortunately, despite asking for vegan options, we were given gelato with dairy (pistacchio and chocolate). As I have a dairy intolerance, this made me very unwell later in the day and ruined our only evening in Palermo. The ice cream is very delicious but unfortunately not good for me!
