The food was excellent imagine eating pasta from flour stores locally on the island. All of the little bites that we had during the tapas course were great.. the fried lasagna, the milk croquette, the BEST Panelle we’ve had in Sicily, the eggplant parm… the fried red mullets and squid. YUMM Everyone loved their pastas… 5 of 11 of us got the cacio pepe. Better than all the cacio Pepe’s in Rome. The pesto pasta was also GREAT. The fish of the day was great. VERY lightly seasoned with just a touch of salt.. no lemon no nothing so you could taste the fish. Add lemon and salt if you must but we just ate it with the amazing local greens and the yummy potatoes served with it. The wine- we wanted a skin contact wine and we’re told about a delicious one made of two indigenous Sicilian grapes. YUMM. Added bonus, our server and his partner are the wine makers. We had two bottles. Such a hit The service was heartfelt and warm and generous. We loved it and would recommend it time and time again. Oh I forgot to mention— one dish was complementary and included THE BEST caponata I’ve tasted ever. THANK YOU CICALA.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! This place was recommended by our tour guide Luca and it exceeded expectations. The food was the best we had in Palermo. The guys who served us were brilliant. Really friendly and not shy about recommendations - which were really appreciated and turned out to be the best choices - especially the wine! The menu is simple which I find perfect. The food was of a high quality and cooked perfectly. We had the black pork shank which was huge and so so so good and the Ragu which was some of the best cooked pasta I have ever had anywhere. The pictures do no do it justice as we just wanted to get stuck into the food!! When we come back to Palermo we are booking back here for definite!! Kim and Ryan

Imagine this: A long morning of traveling to Palermo, and an afternoon of light touring of the city. All you really want is a casual place to have some Sicilian wine, a Negroni, and some Sicilian food. Well, if that’s you, this is your place. Ambiance, music, staff, and quiet street in whiffing distance of the water is just the start. The tapas menu of dressed up Sicilian street food is magical and the drinks are scrumptious and affordable. Whether you’re traveling as a small group, as a couple, or by yourself, you should stop here.
