Ferramenta — Restaurant in Palermo

We stumbled upon Ferramenta for drinks one evening and could tell that we needed to come back for dinner. We sat outside on a the charming cobblestone corner behind Chiesa di San Domenico and started with drinks and the complimentary olives, nuts, and chips. The espresso martini was perfect--the best we've ever had. We ordered the vegetarian board and two plates of the Pacchero pasta (also vegetarian)--both were delicious. The entire waitstaff is very present, friendly, and helpful, though we especially appreciated Momo's kindness and patience regarding our floundering attempts at Italian.

Best. Place. In. Sicily!! My boyfriend and I agreed we’ve never been to a better restaurant in our lives. I had the tuna steak, which was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. He had the grilled beef, which was perfect as well. The staff were incredibly kind. They do everything to give you the best experience and seem to notice everything, even though the place was fully booked at all times. Since we were only in Sicily for a week we did not want to visit the same place twice, but made an exception this time. I can keep writing about all the great things about this place, but i highly recommend you just visit it yourself. Promise it won’t disappoint. I stumbled across this gem of a bar whilst wandering the streets searching for something out of the ordinary. As I rounded the corner I heard some fantastic jazz music and much to my delight I found Ferramenta. A busy upscale bar serving specialty cocktails, a few good beers on tap and with a nice selection of liquors and wines. The bartenders and staff were extremely nice and helpful. I didn’t order any food but the dishes that came from the kitchen looked fantastic and made me hungry just looking at them. The clientele was very upscale friendly and chic.
