Dining at Brama in Palermo was an unforgettable experience. From the very start, the elegant yet welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a perfect evening. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about both the food and the cocktails they serve.
The menu strikes a wonderful balance between Sicilian tradition and creative innovation. I began with the Midnight Espresso Old Fashioned, a bold and refined cocktail that was both original and perfectly crafted. For the main course, the pasta with tenerumi and mussels was exceptional – a dish that showcased fresh, local ingredients while elevating a traditional recipe into something truly special. To finish, the babà-misù was the ideal ending: light, decadent, and unforgettable.
The combination of flavors, presentation, and service made the entire evening a true culinary journey. Brama is not just a restaurant, but a destination for anyone who wants to experience Palermo’s rich food culture at its very best. Highly...

Given that this is a slightly upscale restaurant, I expected a certain level of service standards. These were not met.
I ordered a drink (dry martini) as an aperitif - it arrived 10pm after my starter. Upon clearing my starter, I wasn’t asked if I had liked my food At no point after sitting down was I asked if I wanted a wine accompaniment to my main / if I needed anything else I had a wrong drink delivered to my table.
Don’t get me wrong - none of these are deal breakers. But - in combination - they ruined what was supposed to be a very nice evening.
On the food itself: the starter (Tuna in sesame coating) was ok. The main (Pasta w Gamberetti and Pistaccio) was good but not mind-blowing. I’m confident I could do a better job at both.
Final verdict: I wouldn’t come...
Read moreEven if something happens, the guys resolve everything very well. You can ask for a gluten-free pasta option. The pasta with pistachio was very-very tasty and addictive :)))) The Spritz was well-done. The cocktail named French 75 is less impressive, served in a water glass. I’d go for something else - guys have a great bar team!
Small recommendation to manage expectations better: the pasta with dried anchovies actually has a special anchovies powder, not pieces of fulldried fish, so maybe change it in the description so that nobody expects the fish itself. Foreigners (there are plenty here) might expect that a pasta has something more...
