For the winter months this is primarily a take away place which will give you, believe it, not GMO range fed chicken done on a Modern Roticcery which again, believe it, is fired with not gas but wood. So here you will get a tender delicious chicken with their homemade potatoes/fennel and splashed with a dried bunch of oregano soaked in the drippings... perhaps you might drip a bit here and there but it is really "finger licking delightful.. during the summer June/Sept the restaurant will open next door and will offer pizza as well. You can also get a selection of drinks from wine (white or red--local of course) and beer just ask and the friendly staff of: Francesco Romano and Sign. Angela will be there to help you. This was an excellent find after a long pleasant train journey from Taormina. We arrived around 830pm, after checking in, we got to the restaurant around 10pm (closes 1130pm). We were served with family friendliness and smiles. The wooden aroma fire oven, to cook the rotisserie chicken was very impressive, served with baked potatoes with herbs, fries with the chicken, rosemary and lemon gravy was flavoursome. Non faccio mai recensioni così accurate ma devo farlo. Ordiniamo tramite Just Eat alle 19:45 con consegna programmata per le 20:30. Alle 20:40 ancora non vediamo l’ordine in consegno e chiamiamo il locale il quale un signore risponde dicendoci di avere pazienza che entro 20 minuti il nostro ordine sarà consegnato, in tutto ciò non ha chiesto il nome, il numero ordine. Vabbè attendiamo. Ore 21:17 contattiamo il locale il quale ci risponde questa volta una donna e spieghiamo che abbiamo una persona anziana a casa e che deve mangiare entro un certo orario perché poi deve andare a letto, la signora ci dice che entro 10 minuti l’ordine sarà consegnato. Ordine consegnato alle 21:47, fate voi il conto del ritardo tra la prima chiamata e l’altra. Non voglio penalizzare il locale in quanto hanno cose veramente buone, e mi dispiace aver ricevuto l’ordine così tardi da dover buttare una buona parte dell’ordine perché già alle 22:00 la fame sinceramente era passata. Ovviamente alla persona anziana vedendo come andava la situazione l’abbiamo fatto mangiare prima. Morale della storia….
