3 starts because the first time I went it was a great experience but the second one was unpleasant due to the service.
Probably my favorite bistro in Parma! Exciting combinations of ingredients on pizzas and delicious pasta. The deserts were the cherry on the cake, impressive balance of ingredients!! Try to sit outside even if its a bit cold, you won't regret it!
Unfortunately the second time I went, I was very dissatisfied me due to the service. There were three occasions that disappointed us. We explicitly asked for the Lambrusco of Parma and they brought us the Lambrusco of Modena (substantially more expensive). Unfortunately not a nice visit… we came back after two years because we loved it so much! We didn’t have the impression of being welcomed because they wanted to close in 50 min and we told them that we will order right away and will be gone at exactly 15 o’clock. The owner was not welcoming us nicely and told us that we have a few minutes to order or we will not get anything. We recommended this pace to so many people before but it is nothing like two years ago. Also the food was average. We started with an off-menu appetizer of porcini mushrooms (in season right now) on their signature focaccia style bread. Next we had the duck breast, « like » margarita pizza, and shrimp linguine.
