Caffè Mazzini Perugia — Restaurant in Perugia

It was an interesting experience lunching at Mazzini! It started when the server managed to ask which drink was whose, even though we all ordered the same thing, topping it by giving one of us 2 drinks and one none. So in hindsight maybe it was a valid question. After that the service is painfully slow: even though the food was on display it took 25 minutes to get our food ready. When it finally showed up they had managed to get our order wrong an serve us the worst item on the menu. Also the terrace was swarming with bees that seemed to be launching a massive offensive on our drinks. Luckily, in the midst of our battle against our attackers the owner(?) came by the table to reassure us that the bees weren't dangerous, because they were just looking for some sugar. Only problem was: our drinks were essentially sugar water. Luckily we managed to fabricate some kind of a trap for the bees out of a can and some napkins, only to have it promptly he taken away by the waiter. And just to be sure you don't leave a tip, it's not possible to lock the bathroom. In conclusion I think it would be a perfect candidate for kitchen nightmares and I would certainly revisit when Gordon...

In vacanza a Perugia da Cagliari assieme a mia moglie, siamo stati in questo caffè, che si è subito contraddistinto per la gentilezza e la professionalità dei baristi che ci hanno descritto e aiutato nella scelta tra i molteplici gusti di cioccolata, che è stata subito preparata e si è contraddistinta per profumo,aroma e corposità. La mia era un ottima gianduia, quella di mia moglie bianca con nocciole, visto il profumo e la consistenza, sono stato tentato ad assaggiarla nonostante a me di solito non piaccia la cioccolata bianca ma questa non era la solita bianca nauseante dal sapore burro/zucchero, no, semplicemente superlativa dall intenso sapore del latte e panna fresca, unita al cioccolato. Ho letto che qualcuno nella recensione ha scritto che i prezzi sono alti, beh se consideriamo che per lo stesso prezzo da altre parti mi hanno presentato una cioccolata fatta con quella marca pubblicizzata in tv che recita "al bar come a casa" oltretutto utilizzando una bustina per due cioccolate...ognuno tragga le sue conclusioni. Mi piace anche il latte e il cacao solubile tipo nesquik, ma la cioccolata è tutt'altro e al caffè Mazzini di Perugia ha la C maiuscola, ancora...
