I don't think I've ever encountered such off-putting service. The servers would walk right by us, with no menu or nothing on the table. Finally, my husband asked for a menu. But then we sat with menus closed on the table for a long time, ready to order, before my husband (who speaks excellent Italian) finally stopped a server to say we were ready. Except for one smiley server who seemed semi-on top of things and actually friendly (although she never did bring the cheese I asked for), the other two were sullen, bordering on surly. One of them actually rolled her eyes when we went to order. My penne arrabbiata (I'd ordered it with pomodoro but they were out) was not properly cooked. So crispy on some noodles it stuck in my teeth. My husband's cannelloni was just okay. The main thing this place has going for it is its location. You can do much much better, unless you enjoy the feeling of being disdained while you eat your...
Read moreGood location on a square close to the train station. I ordered a pizza and an Aperol Spritz. I got crisps and peanuts as well (this is probably because of the Aperol, which btw costs 8 euros), I was happy about it, and wanted to leave a 2 euro tip, but in the end I had to pay 2 euros more than I ordered… Apparently it’s normal in restaurants in Italy to pay around 1,50-3 euros for “coperto”… I know it’s normal for some restaurants, but this place didn’t exactly look like a restaurant. The pizza was good (better than it looks like at the picture) and cost 10 euros (any kind). The staff was really nice, but could be better organised (should communicate better with each other). And they don’t have a uniform or anything that distinguishes them from other people (or at least I...
Read moreThe location is nice as you get a good view of the square. Service is quite slow and my partner had to order our drinks at the till and also bring all the food over, and go again to pay, we saw this was also the case with other tables. We had our most expensive aperol of our whole trip here at €8. It was fine. The atmosphere was quite unpleasant as the music was incredibly loud and did not fit the atmosphere. I myself am Colombian and enjoy Latin American music, the Dominican music playing was more suited to a nightclub and made it really hard to enjoy sitting there for a relaxing drink. I noticed other customers were also agitated by the music. Due to the music and lacklustre service we decided to have...
