We had the most amazing dinner experience at this quiet and lovely restaurant. The persons who greeted us, did the service and the cooking, were apparently the owners, and they were the most gracious and friendly hosts, very patient despite our poor italian. The food and wine were exquisite, for a very modest price. They are passionate about what they do and were eager to share. Genuinely, the absolute best meal I've ever had. I will always search through reviews to find the best place.. and I cannot explain how much you need to trust me that this is the best place. I don't really want fellow tourists to find it as I wish that this could stay a hidden gem, but my gosh, they deserve too. Wowowowow!! Caratteristico locale nel cuore del centro storico di Pisa, dove in passato si trovava la trattoria storica “Da Cucciolo”. Pochi tavoli, molto intimo e coinvolgente, direi familiare per il calore con cui siamo stati accolti pur non essendo clienti abituali. Personale di sala competente, cordiale ed estremamente disponibile a esaudire ogni desiderio del cliente. Alla fine, chiacchierando dopo cena, abbiamo anche scoperto di avere amici in comune! Eccellente carta dei vini (anche se un po’ caotica nell’esposizione) con bottiglie che non ti aspetti, come quelle provenienti dalla Val d’Aosta: abbiamo infatti scelto un ottimo Torrette per accompagnare la nostra cena, e per accompagnare il dessert ci è stato proposto un eccezionale Aleatico dell’Elba. Piatti meravigliosi, preparati con cura e passione dal giovane chef: dall’antipasto al dessert é stata una scoperta continua di sapori. Bravo!
