SanBé — Restaurant in Polignano a Mare

If you need something to eat desperately and can’t find anything else - it will get the job done. But if you want to have a good meal, prepared by someone that knows how to cook well and enjoys the process then maybe go somewhere else. Sorry, but the only nice thing was a service, the food needs a lot of work. If you’re having a restaurant in a tourist area you shouldn’t take it for granted that there’s always going to be someone to serve. You pay for the atmosphere nothing more. Basically they don't understand English. We were charged for food we didn't order.

We don't eat meat so we asked if the food contains only cheese , they said yes but again they didn't understand so it came with pork.. Very disappointed and there were no apologies.

The salads were ok , the Pina colada was supposed to come with a cool glass but they were just out maybe minor but still.

I have been to much better places. Maybe just come for drinks if you want to hear someone playing nice music...

One of the highlights of our visit to Polignano a Mare was a lovely lunch at Sanbe. We discovered this restaurant after wandering beautiful alleyways and were greeted by a gracious staff. Options included local specialties and two of us had the risk, patate e cozze (mussels, potatoes and rice cooked with roasted tomatoes) the servings were enormous.
