SAFETY HAZARD! I would not recommend families with children to consider this beach club.
We me, my wife and our small baby visited this club yesterday when my wife got hit in the face by a flying beach umbrella. It moved on and I managed to catch it just before it would have hit our 8 month old. What a disaster! I don’t even want to think of what would have happened had this thing hit our baby.
It got even worse how this was handled. The ‘lifeguard’ (I put this in ‘’ as calling this guy a lifeguard is a disgrace to the profession as I doubt he would safe a single soul if the Titanic would sink just before his eyes) basically didn’t do anything. My wife had to ask (scream) for ice 3 times when he finally slowly slowly brought an ice pack. Other than that this the ‘lifeguard’ didn’t care to ask how my wife was doing, apologise or acknowledge that his beach umbrella flying around was in any case his responsibility. The guest around all in chock of what happened kindly offered my wife help, painkillers etc etc. Shouldn’t we have expect the same of this ‘lifeguard’? But no. He was too busy working on his tan.
So after this disaster obviously we had to leave the place. My wife’s face was red and she was sobbing. We had been there for about 2.30 hours while originally planned to stay for the day, before this disaster happened. We had a pizza and a few drinks, plus 2 beach chairs and a towel. The check out lady knew what happened and said she was so sorry. I made the comment that surely they weren’t going to charge us for the beach seats after what happened, expecting them to wave the entire bill. Then the check out lady said she couldn’t really give a discount but would take off the bottle of water !?!?! What !?!? They charged us 180 Euros for a disastrous afternoon. Then she added: ‘we cannot control the wind’
I am sorry you are a beach club. It’s not difficult you really only have 3 tasks to manage and you are getting paid very well to do so:
By telling us they cannot control the wind it becomes very clear to me that this beach club thinks it is oke to have flying umbrella’s around and will not learn from it. I would think you can control the wind. For 45 Euro’s a bed per day one should expect at least that you check the equipment and that everything is safely and steadily inserted into the beach. Not here, they cannot control the wind and not will they take any responsibility. This tells me nothing is going to change at this place and more umbrella’s will be flying around. I really hope I am wrong but I am afraid one day a baby or a toddler gets seriously injured. Hence I would recommend anyone reading this to go through the neighbours. Hopefully there safety is incorporated in the beach club culture.
How much I do not like this place and how rude I think it is they handled the situation, I do want to say that all the waiters we had were nice and polite. The real issue is the lifeguard and the check out lady that have zero regards for safety.

Read moreOn our honeymoon to Italy, we spent our one beach day here on the sun loungers under the umbrellas. Gorgeous! And then …
A moderate gust of wind shot up one of the giant umbrellas with metal poles and it smashed into the side of my face. I blacked out, it was the most blood my husband had ever seen, he fainted, and it was terrifying.
The hotel staff got ice but then proceeded to declare that there was no emergency, an ambulance would have difficulty getting down the cliffs, and basically told me to stop overreacting.
We of course left immediately. We then had to wander to find a taxi who could drive us to Sorrento for a hospital because my NOSE WAS BROKEN.
The club was unsafe, did not have any first aid or medical equipment/staff available, and they still fully charged us and did not reach out after this traumatic experience despite having our information on file. With 8 days left of our honeymoon, we had to stock up on painkillers, explain my horrific black eye and crooked nose to strangers, and try to set up care in the States for when we were back.
I’m so disappointed that this happened but furthermore how this was handled. This is a serious safety hazard that no one should have to worry about. It’s costing us so much time, our once in a lifetime trip, and expenses. We were so looking forward to this experience and it was ruined by a lack of safety...
Read moreFood is ok but expensive and few "light" options available. However service is absolutely shocking... been here twice and each time after standing around for a while i had to catch a waiter's attention to be seated. I then had to grab my own menu and then proactively grab the waiter again to be served. When i was finished, with absent service, i walked up to the cash register to pay, only to be told i needed to get the bill from my waiter. No smiles from anyone - everyone seemed frustrated that i was talking to them, as if i was inconveniencing them by being a customer of theirs, even when paying.
Don't know how they can run a business like that - oh wait, yes i do - they can act however they want because they have a monopoly as the only restaurant/bar on the beach.
They should be raking it in, especially with their side-business of charging 10 eur for sun beds - oh and i forgot to mention that they kicked me out of my sun bed after they realised there were a few beds in a row they wanted to give to a family (saying they were reserved, even though there were no signs and i had already been sitting there for an hour). They made no effort to relocate me - i had to track down the assistant after i had moved to ask him which sun bed to use so i wouldn't get...
