Remmese Restaurant — Restaurant in Positano

Highly recommend Remmese! The food was exceptional, staff was wonderful and kind, environment was relaxing and calming, nice and quiet. Gorgeous views. Atmosphere was also very cool. More of a fancy restaurant. Very difficult to find if you are not a hotel guest of Hotel Le Agavi, luckily we ran into a worker and then other guests that helped us find our way to the restaurant but we were 30 min late to our reservation because it's so difficult to find and there is no one guiding you there. We had to ask for a taxi back to our airbnb because it was very dark when we were leaving and the walk back was on the main road. The restaurant called Positano Limousine Services instead of a taxi for us so we ended up having to spend 40 euros for a 4 minute drive so that was...

We are not staying at the hotel associated with this restaurant but we walked all the way down approximately 500 stairs. They greeted us and brought us drinks and lunch menu. The scenery was stunning. They never said you're not staying in hotel so we can't serve you. Seafood scialetti was divine. We have been refused service before at other places because we're not staying there. Then we went all the way up the lift and funicular to the road, where our car was parked. The place is a beach setting not high on a cliff so limited view of the beauty of Positano. The staff could care less about our being on our honeymoon and my 60th birthday even though we booked this spot for my birthday dinner.

The topper is the fact that I ordered a gin tonic and they charged us for TWO drinks. $15 for gin and $8 for tonic.

We are not on a budget but just charge for a drink. $23 for a gin tonic is INSANE and ignorant for any restaurant and this one...
