Bao Bao Piazza Venezia — Restaurant in Rome

We discovered Bao Bao while looking for the perfect afternoon snack in Rome. We ordered the combo meal featuring pork dumplings, chicken bites, and an egg roll — and everything was delicious!

The pork dumplings were absolutely our favorite dish (and seem to be a crowd-pleaser based on other diners’ reactions). What makes them special is that the dumpling wrapper is made with Italian flour, giving it a unique flavor reminiscent of Italian pasta. The pork filling is perfectly cooked and seasoned, and when paired with their soy sauce, it creates an incredible flavor combination.

After spending 2–3 weeks in Italy enjoying all the amazing Italian food, we were ready for something different—and Bao Bao in Rome was exactly what we needed. The flavors were spot on, fresh, and comforting. It hit the spot perfectly with just the right mix of authentic Chinese taste and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re craving a break from pasta and pizza!

The cashier is really nice and lovely! I ordered mini bao's and they are soft and delicious. They are are not as expensive as others' and that's a good thing especially when you want to eat something that's not too heavy! Each table has 3 different sauces.
