If you need a break from pasta and pizza, this is the spot. Stepping off the streets of Rome into this pub is stepping onto the streets of Ireland. With the Irish music flavoring the tavern decor and the Irish fare, one is transported directly to the Emerald Isle without ever leaving Rome. The restaurant is huge with seating inside and outside, upstairs and downstairs, at the bar or at a booth or table. The vastness of the restaurant is only rivaled by the extensive menu with great Irish cuisines. We’ve been here twice since being in Rome and both times have been exceptional. The service is topnotch and the food is scrumptious. We’ve ordered the cheeseburger, the fish and chips (the second time they had ran out - insert sad face), the pulled pork sandwich, and the Guinness stew. All items were delicious. The fish and chips tartar sauce is great and that’s coming from a not-a-tartar-sauce fan. Also, the Guinness stew is filling with chunks of tender meat and diced carrots. Before ordering, know that the sandwiches do not come with fries, those have to be ordered separately. Don’t fret though, they are generous with their basket-o-fries. The only issue I had with any of the food was that sometimes they run out, like with the fish and chips. Additionally, if you’re here and want to partake in some fun, the pub offers karaoke nights, trivia/game nights, and, yes, traditional Irish music nights. Overall, this is quickly becoming a go-to favorite pub of mine while in Rome. The beer is delicious and the food is perfectly flavored and rightly proportioned. Enjoy!

I would come here when passing through Rome however after my last visit that will end. I came here with my family after trekking through the Vatican and was looking for a Guinness. I was with my wife, 15yo and 3yo. I ordered food and drinks then ask if I could change seats as my wife located an open booth at the other end. This was ideal as I did not wish to potentially disturb patrons with my child. The staff told me that was not an issue so we moved. My original server brought me the check prior to my food coming and I asked if that is normal as the situation just seemed odd. He replied “it’s pay as you go”. I knew this not to be the case as I come here when I visit Rome or take a connecting flight. Right after I paid I asked him for another Guinness and my son a coke. He made a face and stated he wished we told him prior. I replied “I thought it was pay as you go???” The waiter left and there were different servers tending us. I ended up requesting the bill and paired my difference. On my way out the original waited came rushing out to stop my exit and ask me about paying the difference. This was a little bit embarrassing and I showed him my proof. I then left with my family. My wife told me she felt odd as they targeted us to potentially skip on the bill. I will never come back here again after this. I dont think anyone should have to feel this way. The server could have handled everything different from the beginning. Overall the fish and chips is not the best and the burgers are horrible as the beef patty is about 3 1/2 inches in diameter when grilled and the bread is about 5 1/2 inches in diameter so unless you want a bread sandwich. This experience left me angry for the rest of the day as I was thinking about how I was left treated and knowing my wife felt the same way verified my experience here. It’s crazy because I gave no sign of being someone to skip out. It was about $100 euros in the hole to make them make you feel like garbage. Thanks.

Brought my daughter here during a school tour to Italy when she developed a severe fever while touring Rome. We sat in a little booth that had a little door and was like a private little room. The bar keep was amazing and so friendly. They let us stay for hours and brought us anything we needed to make us more comfortable. The bar keep also helped me learn how to navigate the taxi system in Rome and where to go to find a taxi since my daughter was spent. After getting some meds, an energy shot, and food and water in her, we were able to make our way back to the tour bus before they left us stranded in Rome. The food was some of the best we had in Italy. We had a baked potato that came in a fun origami foil bird and a bacon, brie, and cranberry bagel sandwich that had like half a pound of bacon on it!! Both were delicious and large servings. This was a fun memory, regardless of the fever. Two Americans in an Irish Pub in Rome. Not exactly where I thought I'd be hanging out, but glad we wandered in.

When in Rome this is a great place to eat with friends and/or family. Great place to meet people. This pub is always BUSY. Great food, great servers, and great bartenders! If you want something a little different than pasta then Scholar’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all good! There’s something for everyone! It’s a sports bar type menu with lamb and beef stews, bangers & mash, good nachos, great fresh fries, great baked potatoes, burgers (haven’t had yet), the baguette sandwiches are really good, and really great wings. The caesar salad is great! Of course there is beer on tap, mixed drinks, 1 Euro shots. You can dine outside too. We wander home around 2am? 3am? I never check/remember the time because then we head over to Escopazzo for dancing and continue the party until 5am or so.

What a magical hidden treasure in the chaos of Rome. Our group wandered in after a long day of sight seeing. Being Irish myself I couldn’t resist the temptation of an Irish Pub. I hadn’t the first clue that I’d never want to leave! The library lounge upstairs was so cozy I still think about it on a weekly basis. Although packed for a highly anticipated football game a group of people consolidated and made room for us and the the service was superb. Really an unbelievable experience. Not to mention the food which was better than anticipated. We had a Full English(Irish Pub but I’d eat it everyday!), Smoked Salmon Stuffed Loaded Potato and Salted Cod Bites. Our experience was so good we found our way back there multiple more times before leaving Rome but not without a teeshirt!!!

Consigliatissimo! ENGLISH: A few steps from Largo Argentina and Piazza Venezia, the restaurant is located directly along the road. Cozy, spacious, soft music that accompanies the drink, a little medieval English and Scottish .. very pleasant. Despite being directly on the road, the traffic is not heard at all. Covid rules all respected (distance tables, green pass, sanitation ..). The menu varies from appetizers of nachos or chicken based (skewers, wings, etc) then there are sandwiches, baguettes, bagels, there are also second courses of meat; huge choice for all tastes! There is a very interesting selection of beers and a very wide range of cocktails. We opted for 3 "medium" beers (0.5 liters = 5 euros per beer, honest price thinking of other places that make 0.33 to 5 or even 6 euros), then nachos with chili of meat, really excellent, 2 hamburger sandwiches (one bbq burger and the other veggie, yummy) and a bbc bagel: FABULOUS! All for around 60 euros. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
