A restaurant that was recommended to us. It is a small trattoria, away from the tourist sites. A very welcoming hostess and waitress, who were very helpful when we we choosing from the menu. For starters we had deep fried zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta and a large platter of mixed cold meats and cheeses. Read moreCannot recommend this place enough. The food was beautiful. The stuffed zucchini flowers are gorgeous and the tiramisu is the best I've had. But more than that the people were so lovely. We came to Rome for my 40th birthday and the owners let my partner decorate our table before I arrived for our reservation. We ended up having our meal and staying for ages afterwards talking to the owners and some locals. They were brilliant with my children who said it was the best restaurant they had been to. It was the most special birthday. Prices are very good too....

You don't get a menu, there is just a chalkboard on the wall with a selection of dishes that I can only assume changes with some frequency. I had the lasagne and my wife had the salmon with pasta, both delicious. The real star however was the tiramisu for dessert. Honestly the best I had in Rome and I tried a lot while I was there!
