Birretta Wine and Food — Restaurant in Rome

My wife and I visited this restaurant today at 13:40, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

The staff member who seated us was unprofessional, rude, and dismissive right from the beginning. When it came time to order, she invaded my personal space and displayed a very poor attitude.

The food we received was undercooked (see photo). When I approached the staff member to explain, her only response was “okay” before walking away without further acknowledgment. After waiting far too long, I had to go back to the bar to follow up. She then came to our table, took the food away in silence, and returned 10 minutes later, again without saying a word, apologizing, or showing any basic courtesy.

This is not just about a single bad day – it felt like a deliberate choice to treat customers without respect or professionalism. Basic hospitality standards were not met at any point during our visit.

We left feeling unwelcome and dissatisfied. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone who expects good service and properly...

Location is a short walk distance from vatican. Prices are a bit of the high end, but really worth it and balanced really well with the quality of the food. Athmosphere is cozy and relaxing.

Hand cut french fries almost perfect. Couple dark spots which were mostly estetic down sides. Frying and seasoning spot on. Salads fullfilling and oh boy. Burgers! Burgers are just amazing with clever recipes. I had a tough time choosing, so I went with the chef's selection of 3 mini burgers. All burgers were medium rare, like ordered. Buns firm outside and softer inside so pressing them to fit easier in mouth was a breeze. Just firm enough buns to keep fillings inside even with just one bite left. Other incredients like mentioned clever, fresh, carefully selected and simple enough.

Seriously good! The wife and I had been in Rome for several days and decided we needed a change from Pizza and Pasta so we gave this place a try. I've been to burger places in the U.S. that didn't even compare to this! Try the onion rings, hand cut, battered, and fried in house with just the perfect amount of salt and crunch! My wife tried the chicken strips and I had the Ring Burger (BBQ sauce and an onion ring) and a Coke. Everything was very tasty. This might be the best Burger in Rome!
