Unfortunately a very bad experience. We arrived and the receptionist spoke close to no english at all, we had to work with google translate. We went up to our room, and found two trash bags on the table, which was not welcoming. It got taken away immediately, then we wanted to start the AC so when we come back from sight seeing room should be cool. Take a guess, AC did not work at all and the issue was known and shall be fixed next day. We got two cold waters after we complained this to the night manager as the fridge was not working as well. Then we wanted to go to bed and saw two red/brown spots on the mattress and went again (3rd complaint by now) and said its enough, we will not sleep on this. After long talks there were no other rooms and we were offered a refund for the first night. We changed the mattress to the other side (proposal from hotel) and saw again spots… after a short hot night we were offered another room which had a working AC and no dirt issues… but the toilet flush got stuck everytime you pressed it, and had to be taken a cable from the back of the flush to stop it, we said lets not complain anymore as we were tired. The second room was clean and working fine, unfortunately it was only very loud and you can even hear someone in the reception/lobby. So nights were short again. Only positive feedback from us is that the staff tried their best to make us happy with their limited options, and the location is unbeatable. Breakfast was „intercontinental“ with a coffee automat, white bread and ham, cheese, salami and typical italian things. But good food options in 10min radius. We would not come back another time, it has more of a hostel feeling than...
Read moreNever take this hotel. I really wish I was not there. Feelings like we were in a scary movie. Hotel was situated in a dark place, which was looking more like a ghetto then like a THREE starts hotel. When I knocked at the door, a very awful woman came to open the door, and smiled to me with a smile, which means not “welcome dear guest”, but “I will eat you with the sht you got inside”. I asked her to show the room, but she said me that she can not do it, because first of all I have to register into hotel. Well, done. Came into the room and became astonished with what I have seen. First of all, a light breeze smelling like fungus and sht came right into my face. I think I could fall down from this smell, but I hardly stayed in my legs. Coacroches were noticed into the room, the paint from upper floors was falling down when neighbor's children jumped on the floor. I ran out of this room number and said I will not stay here, and got an answer from the woman on a reception “we do not give money back, sorry”, and she smiled to me with her horror smile. Shivering and trembling I ran out of there, looking for another hotel. As a final, if you want a horror quest-you are on a right way, and if you need a hotel, then it is a stupid...
Read moreWe stayed a total of 10 days over two periods at this hotel. Claudia and Marta were the primary people we worked with at the front desk and they were warm, friendly and spoke good english. We took a cruise between our two visits and returned on my wife's birthday. Our room was prepared with fake rose petals in the shape of a heart, towel swans, a split of Prosecco and two glasses and a cupcake with a candle. What a wonderful surprise for my wife and I. The breakfast was fabulous. A great selection of meats, cheeses, breads, cereal, juice, coffee, milk and an assortment of pastries. The rooms are smaller than you would expect from an American style hotel, but there was enough room when you consider that we didn't come to Rome to sit in the room. This hotel is in a great location, close to St. Peters and the Vatican. Close to the metro which along with the bus can take you to all of the prime sites for viewing. We will stay here again if we ever get...
