Staying on the Via Corso is like staying on Yonge St in Toronto...always busy and full of places to eat and dine...most of these places are overpriced and the food is meh...only 100m from the Corso is this hidden gem..Cantina Belsiana.
Classed as a "wine bar" you can definitely go there an have a great time with their meat and cheese trays with some excellent wine and olives. Or you can have one of the most satisfying meals in Rome I have had in our stay in Rome 2021. Daily specials ranging from seasonal Lasagnas (one of the best I have ever eaten) to Roast beef with a Barolo reduction. Our visit we had the Cantina Bruschetta with homemade pesto and Buffalo mozzarella. The pesto is very well done and it makes the appetizer. I had a glass of Barolo with my lasagna Parmigiana and my wife had her bologonaise lasagna. These we easily one of the best meals we have had in Rome. We finished our meal with a Nutella Pannacotta. We were welcomed with awesome service and kind gestures. The menu is not large but with that you get quality food made with just the right amount of Italian flare and paired with awesome...
Read moreCantina Belsiana is an absolute treasure in the heart of Rome. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that made us feel like old friends. The ambiance is charming, with a perfect blend of rustic and elegant that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
The food is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Roman flavors, made with the freshest ingredients. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the wine selection was extensive, featuring some of the best local and regional wines.
The service was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine they serve. Frederica was absolutely amazing!! Keep her at all cost! We loved her.
If you’re looking for a true taste of Rome, Cantina Belsiana is a must-visit. We left with full hearts and even fuller stomachs, already planning our next visit. Highly...

It's easy to reserve a table, which is worth doing because it's a popular place... and it's obvious to me why! Great service, and a very quirky locally run place. I particularly like the napkins on the wall from all the patrons who had great experiences (it seems so anyway from what they wrote).
The food was great and the service impeccable. It's excellent value for money*, and well worth a visit for dinner if you are in Rome. If you are a lover of mixed meat/cheese boards accompanied by good wine this is a must for you.
Also, try the Tiramisu. It's authentic, plentiful, delicious and well presented. You won't regret it.
I consider a mixed meat and cheese board, mixed bruscetta board, bottle of wine and two desserts for €58 excellent value in...
