I didn't even get a chance to eat my meal at this establishment. We arrived and were greeted by a nice gentleman. We sat down, but after that it was all downhill...figuretively speaking. The waitress was rude to say the least. The Waitress took our order and proceeded to express negative facial gestures. We witnessed her complaining to other staff while she walked away. Apparently she was unhappy about our party for not ordering enough food or beverages to her liking. If someone doesn't have the ability to offer at least adequate hospitality for a birthday dessert in a heighten tourist city...then that employee should look for a change career.

Edited-

The owner is correct in the fact that our order consisted of a dessert and a few salads. I honestly shouldn't be even wasting my time updating my review. However, I did want to clarify a few things the owner failed to state. Upon being bluntly disrespected, we canceled our order immediately. I then asked for the bill to pay for the beverages. The restaurant stated it was fine, but that was my mistake. I regret not demanding to pay for my two bottles of water and one cup of coffee, I also regret not reading the abundance of reviews clearly stating that customer service was terrible to atrocious. I can see why this type of behavior is condoned when the owner acts in this manner while responding to customers. Fair warning to any potential patrones that desire to eat at this establishment.

I would strongly suggest that you include the fact that as an establishment, you're expecting all customers to order a minimum amount of food or drinks prior to being seated within a party. I wouldn't want to tell you how to run your business, but obviously there is something flawed when there so many...

The food is good, we enjoyed the carbonara and steak there. Also the female waiters and restaurant owner recommended good drinks for us. However, I had no choice but left one star for service, this is for the male waiter with mustache. Obviously he had discrimination on us with below behaviors. My family felt offensive, and expressed uncomfortable feeling to him. Unfortunately, this guy showed a creepy smile afterward. He didn't do the same behavior to western clients, I highly suspected that he looked down at Asian. Thus, I will share this comment on TikTok and Xiao Hong Shu to remind others Asian tourists when they choose the restaurant. Weird behavior: When we asked for outside table, he rejected directly, even if there were many unreserved tables outside. When we asked whether they can help turn on outdoor heater that beside our table, because we saw other heater was turned on. He answered in rude that YOU COULD CHOOSE STAY INSIDE RATHER THAN OUTSIDE We said we had four people and the last one would come late. He withdrawed the 4th plate without notice. Astonishing service. We wanted to pay the bill, and he said we needed to pay on the counter. But in the next minute, we saw other tables paid the bill on their seats directly, and he is the waiter served them. Based on above manners, I have to say he left a very bad image to me and my family. We shall not encounter this experience. I know he felt GREAT about his behavior and attitude. I WON'T VISIT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN UNLESS THIS GUY DISAPPEARED. ALSO, I WILL POST ON THE SOCIAL MEDIA TO LET ME FRIENDS AND FOLLOWERS AWARE AND PROTECT THEIR...

This was our best all round dining experience in Rome so far. We found the place by chance as we walked back to the hotel earlier in the day. We decided to try and book online and ended up doing so via ‘The Fork’, which also gave us 20% off the food (very easy and straightforward to book). When we got there, the staff confirmed our reservation and got us seated straight away - with a complimentary glass of bubbles. The lady who seated us was very friendly and spoke excellent English, and allowed me to practice my awful Italian back at her. She showed us the specials menu and how to access the main menu online, should we need it. Drinks and food ordered without fuss or drama - with some of the words on the menu very helpfully explained. Drinks and food arrived in good time and was superb, could not fault it at all (and I can be hard to please). Beautifully cooked, beautifully presented and delicious!

Decor and ambiance was great, and the staff were obviously keen to make sure our dining experience met our expectations. Both staff members we dealt with were both very knowledgeable and friendly and definitely made our evening meal out elevate from good to great. I am surprised the place was as quiet as it was when we ate (we were the only ones there at the end), but maybe because of time of year? Time of day? I don’t know but I hope that more people discover this place like I did and also have an...

I would not recommend this restaurant. The manager contacted me asking why, and I believe this will be helpful for others to know the reason behind such a rating. I believe the main problem comes down to the quality of the ingredients used. For example, the fried vegetables feel like what you get frozen in a supermarket. I understand the restaurant is run by generation and should reflect more of a “home cooking” style, but having better ingredients does help to elevate the dishes. I am also concerned with the chef not tasting the food before he sent it out. All of the pasta dishes were incredibly salty. I’ve had kingfish before and know how it is supposed to taste, but the one I had in the restaurant with tomato sauce was sadly unpleasant. The meat of the fish was mushy, and it had this unpleasant smell associated with rotten food. The fish dish was the main reason I gave it a 1-star review on Google. I hope the restaurant improves; it might be easy to sustain and profit with the number of tourists in Italy, but we all want to achieve better than muddle along, don’t we?
