Charly's Saucière — Restaurant in Rome

What a gem that we happened to stumble upon when my mom had to stop to take a break from walking because she was so far ahead. Let me tell you it was the best decision ever. The food is fantastic and the service was amazing. Jolie and John Dimonico( I hope I spelt that right) were amazing. Jolie really knows how to pair her wines with the food. And John had wonderful customer service. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the goulash that was very flavorful. The beef bourguignon was to die for the sauce was amazing. The escargot was a delight(use the sauce for the bread they give you to soak the sauce up. The French onion soup was flavorful and if you like cheese had a great amount on it. Raramente ho visto un ristorante cosi brutto, pacchiano, trascurato. Non saprei nemmeno da dove iniziare per descrivere tutto quello che non va, ad iniziare dal pavimento che grida vendetta per finire agli improbabili quadri di vario stile appesi a caso e storti. Il bagno è poco più  di una latrina e non è a norma, non avendo la seconda porta, non accessibile agli handicappati, ha sanitari vecchi, mattonelle sciupate e sporche, fiori di plastica ... un orrore. Ed andiamo oltre : i cuscinetti delle sedie hanno tutti l'etichetta dell'ikea che penzola fuori dallo schienale. Un po' d'occhio non guasterebbe. Tutto è trascurato. E veniamo alla tavola : il.coltello per il burro si piega da quanto è sottile. Il pane è vecchio, rassegato e per nulla francese. Il piatto dell'antipasto gourmand sembra un piatto di Vietri, o di Grottaglie ma non francese. Presentazione dei piatti penosa, pietanze mediocremente cucinate.
