You will enjoy everything about this place so just go. If you feel like reading on, I'll tell you why. On our last night in Italy, after an amazing trip, we were hoping for one last memorable evening and we spotted this place near out hotel and it was EXACTLY what we were looking for. I felt like we found a hidden gem or stumbled upon a place only the locals knew about when the door was opened. We did not have a reservation but I suggest reserving a table before you go. It's family-owned and everything feels familiar and by the end of your time there, you have a couple inside jokes going with the staff, like you've been coming there for years. The food was incredible - we both had pasta dishes and a second course of Pezze pazze (chef's kiss), the atmosphere had a serene vitality to it and please remember to try a dessert because it was the cherry on top of an evening we were hoping for. Thank you to Emma, Manuel and everyone else (there was another gentleman who helped us as well as a chef who popped out of the kitchen on two occasions and made sure that we were enjoying our meal) who made our last night in Italy a...

You need to eat here. Period.
This is a small, quiet, and cozy restaurant ran by a brother and sister who make you feel comfortable and welcome. I was there alone and cannot speak a word of Italian, their English is minimal, but they made every effort to make my experience a memorable one.
Order the swordfish. I asked what was recommended and they pointed me in the right direction. Not a sliver of exaggeration, it was arguably the best seafood dish I've ever eaten.
My server was an absolute gentleman, treated me with the utmost respect despite not speaking the same language. He helped an older couple put their jackets on following their meal. They also donate a few Euros of your bill to charity. Absolute class on all counts from this restaurant.
My only regret is that I discovered this restaurant on my last day in Rome. I will be back whenever it is that I return.
Would recommend to others...
Read moreEmma took great care of us and spoke English well. She explained the tasting menu option, and it was well worth the trip. Manuel, the chef, made the desserts with precision and beauty tableside. He also explained where the wines and family recipes came from. Pablo, the second server, did not speak much, but he was kind and attentive. One thing to note, the Tasting service with wine is 15 decently sized portions with 4 different pastas, 2 Desserts, and multiple appetizers. Each course has its matching wine paring. Make sure to have plenty of room to eat if ordering the full Tasting. Also, call ahead and make a reservation as they can be quite busy. A special thanks again to Emma. She went above and beyond and made us feel...
