Fun little Bavarian place in Rome. I mean, why not? The pizza with Boar salami is fun and you can't beat a liter of Paulaner. The outdoor area is fine, not a lot of sights, but there is some people-watching to be had. Inside, the bar reeks of past events (in a good way) and has plenty of bric-a-brac like you would expect in a German-themed tavern. I made a reservation using Quandoo for the evening on New Year's Eve and received a confirmation email. When I arrived at the restaurant, the servers seemed puzzled but were able to seat me and my family anyway. I'm not going to blame them or the restaurant since the website may not effectively communicate with them. Who knows? We were seated, no problem, and had a great time.
Fun fact: I proposed to my wife here in 2007 on New Year's Eve, when they had a fixed price, multi-course menu and we were there all night....
Read moreWe stopped here for a cold beer after a long day walking around Rome: their imported beers were very good and refreshing!
This is a German restaurant but also offers Italian food. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay here for dinner, so I can’t rate their food yet: my 4 stars are for the ambiance!
The restaurant offers a unique dining experience that blends the charm of outdoor seating with the historical ambiance of a German medieval setting. The outdoor area, with its green carpet, invites diners to enjoy their meal in a garden-like atmosphere.
Inside, there is wood everywhere and the Bavaria’s feel is underscored by regional emblem.
There are some paintings of Rome depicting ancient time scenes everywhere. It feels very cozy!
The prices on the menu were very decent: next time we’re in Rome, we will certainly try their...

Furthermore, trying to explain the blonde tall skinny legs woman In charge she felt annoyed saying that that wasn’t their fault!! (a good and responsible boss roaming between the tables should noticed their big mistake). Instead of beg for pardon, she acted as snub. Before leave the restaurant, We asked about to pay for the drunk beverages… 4,5€ per an rOPENED bottle of still water without brand, just a stick of their own restaurant!! (… tap water?? 😏-then served ALL the customers around just opened bottles!!!). SEE PICS. Also we paid 5€ more for a standard glass of IceTea! 🥃(neither in bottle nor can) -Maybe coming out from a 2L bottle or BurguerKing kind machine ?? 😏
Total prize: 9,5€ per 2 drinks 💶💶💶💶💶+ bad behavior suffered + 1 hour less in Rome + no meal + find a better place

NO VOLVERÉ...
