Nightmare in Rome! In my opinion, not worth the nightly rate. The only singular good thing about this (dare I say, motel) is the location but that can be said about every other hotel on the same street. Oh, and it’s decorated cutely. That’s it. The power in my room flickered on and off (creepy much?) continuously. We can be laying in bed watching TV and minutes later, pitch blackness. And it didn’t stop. We had a long travel day and we didn’t get back to our room until late. We asked for a new room because how can one stay in a room like that and they “upgraded” us to a room that was out of commission. There is now way that’s a normal, ready for guests room. I need to shower so we ran the water which started leaking out all over the bathroom floor, there was an open hole (again, creepy much) directly over the bathtub, stains on the curtains and bed covers AND THE AC DIDNT WORK. Is this my bad luck or they put me in purgatory? There is absolutely no way they did not know about the issues in this room unless housekeeping never went in. So now it’s 12:30am and there are 3 men in the room mopping the bathroom and attempting to fix the AC. I asked to be moved back into my other room by morning (they said the issues were resolved) long story short, the issue wasn’t resolved, they ended up giving us a literal old school KEY otherwise we wouldn’t be able to enter w the key card, and up until almost the last day we still had the issues w the lights. I would NEVER stay here again, the lack of customer service blows my mind because if this establishment was in the U.S, they would have already...
Read moreGlamor and sleek design! The Palazzo Nainer was a fabulous option for our 5-night stay in Rome. With comfortable bedding and towels, fantastic black-out curtains, and great 2x room cleanings, this was a near luxury stay.
While we enjoyed the location - a clean location near all the luxury shopping in Rome, we preferred to eat and drink in Monti. We had breakfast - the best in our two week trip in Italy - and enjoyed drinks on the rooftop once. Both were pricy, but there was value in both quality and service. The servers at the rooftop and woman at breakfast were all fantastic and went above and beyond to converse with us and make us feel at home.
We did need to borrow umbrellas during our stay which was a nice option, but unfortunately the one we grabbed was broken (twice.)
Our room was cozy, but lacked views as there were giant mirrors blocking a large portion of the window and anyone staying at the hotel across the street could see down into the top half of the window into our room if our curtains were open. This is minor and not a big deal as we were out most of the day.
Finally, upon check-in a bottle of champagne was dropped off at our room to enjoy. This small, but special touch was fantastic. My only recommendation is that bottle match the prices charged for similar drinks at the hotel. Overall, this was a great 4 star...
Read moreMy husband and I had the best stay at Palazzo Nainer. We only stayed one night but I wish we stayed longer - so for me, this is definitely a place to come back to again! First of all the hotel was beautifully decorated - it was just before Christmas and the decor really made it feel very festive. The reception and concierge staff were kind and friendly. The receptionist was kind to give us an upgrade. We had a beautiful room with a terrace overseeing beautiful Roman roofs and Piazza del Popolo. It was gorgeous! The room was amazing too! When I come back, I will totally stay in that room again. Breakfast was great - really good selection but the highlight for us was meeting Madeleine who was looking after us at breakfast. She was so kind, very professional and caring and even gave me some food to take away. I absolutely loved our chats with her and again I just wished we stayed for a few more nights so I could have the breakfast and chats with Madeleine again. It goes without saying that the location is perfect and I always stay in this area of Rome as it’s quite easy to get to other areas from here. However, it’s the Palazzo Nainer team that made our stay so very...
