They cook THE WORST CARBONARA EVER, even a 12 years old kid can cook a better carbonara if the kid respect the recipe. Actually, it was no carbonara taste. This was rather omlet with guanciale and pasta. PLEASE SEE THE VIDEO AND PICTURES. We decided to try this "authentic" Italian restaurant based on google score. The biggest shock was that they had available only a part of the menu. Most of the dishes that we wanted to try were not available. The manager recommends that we try Carbonara and Saltimbocca alla Romana, as this is a 5 star dish. Carbonara, as I said above, it was omlet with probably guanciale, the taste was ok ish, but the texture was disgusting as probably they didn't add enough parmesan or they didn't respect the recipe steps and the egg formed lots of curds... Saltimbocca alla Romana it was rather a weird sour taste schnitzel, than a piece of veal with a bit of flour, cooked in oil and butter, with a wine reduction, even the sausce was oily, as you can see in the video and pictures. Disgusted by the experience, we sent the food back, and we wanted to leave, but the manager tried to force us to pay half of the cost, half of what? As we didn't eat anything, we only tasted terrible food. We offered to pay for the water, but he insisted multiple times to pay half, but we refused as we didn't eat anything.

In the end, we left disgusted.... terrible food, terrible customer experience as the manager didn't even want to admit that the carbonara looks bad, he insisted that this is the way how should be cooked. As food critique, I have been nothing more than disgusted... I DON’T...

My wife found this lovely place just here on Google Maps, we were hungry and decided to get there a little early. Thank goodness we did! They are a very popular local restaurant and the owner said they are fully booked every night. We got the one walk-in table available and watch them turn away many people! So reserve or go early and pray! The food was fantastic, authentic Roman food! We got several courses and were very pleased with all of them. I do advise if you aren’t familiar with Roman food, to allow the wait staff to point out the best selections. It’s a very local paced experience, so expect to enjoy your evening here! The restaurant has been owned and operated by the same family for over 50 years! It appeared to be a staple among the community and one of the last truly Roman restaurants. Big thank you to the staff for welcoming us and filling our bellies with truly...

Amazing authentic restaurant. Staff are very efficient and kind, fluent in English if you can't speak much useful italian. They provide you with menus with English translations. The food is amazing, so much flavour packed in to every meal, honestly some of the best food myself and my partner have eaten in our lives, we have been twice so far and have been blown away with the service and food every time. Once ordered, food doesn't take long to get to your plate piping hot and fresh. Also pizza is not on the menu at this establishment but we don't personally see this as a bad thing. Staff are also very mindful of any allergies, they altered my meals and removed any milk/cheese from the dishes. Definitely give this place a visit if...

We had our first meal here, we chose carbonara, beef tripe Roman style, anchovy and black olives. The staff suggested chicory , Veal Saltimbocca alla Romana and a local wine. Everything was yummy and the staff came to care us often. Happy we found this place. The heavenly carbonara is highly recommend. 5/23: We went back again to try more local foods. Everything was tasty and hearty, dinning here is very relaxing. While eating our main courses: oxtail stew and grilled lamb, the owner came and suggested to kill them with our hands. Even though his English is not good, he did his best to let us know how Romans enjoy their meals. Glad we were back, what a satisfying and happy lunch.
