What a Big Nice Surprise hidden in the heart of Rome!

I came in with zero expectations… and walked out seriously impressed. MiC Ramen nails that perfect combo of fun, flavor, and flair — both in food and atmosphere.

🍜 The ramen? Creamy, rich broth with a beautiful balance — not too salty, not too greasy. I had the bowl with corn, sesame-topped chashu, soft-boiled egg, narutomaki, fresh spinach, and a mountain of shredded scallions. The noodles had a perfect bite, and the presentation? Instagram gold.

🥩 That chashu slice – oh my. Melt-in-your-mouth tender, with sesame seeds clinging to its smoky edges. Pick it up with chopsticks and watch it glisten like a star.

🍗 The karaage fried chicken was golden, juicy, and seasoned just right. Paired with spiced mayo and a dusting of shichimi togarashi – addictive.

🥟 Gyoza with pork floss and sesame – I’ve never had dumplings like this. Crispy bottom, soft top, savory filling, topped with fluffy pork floss that added an unexpectedly delicious twist. Genius.

🌿 Atmosphere? Pure anime-meets-izakaya joy. Daruma lanterns, colorful walls, manga-style art, and neon signs give this place a cheerful, pop-Japan energy. Perfect for both a chill lunch or a night out with friends.

Bottom line? MiC Ramen isn’t just a meal — it’s an experience. Definitely coming back. Definitely...

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this place really deserves one. Despite having a reservation for 9:30 PM, we weren’t seated until almost 10. Once we finally sat down, it took ages for anyone to take our order — we had to call the staff over four times, and every time they just said “I’ll be right there” but never came.

When the food started arriving, things got even worse. Dishes meant for other tables kept being placed on ours, and a waiter repeatedly brushed against me while passing by, even though I wasn’t in the way. They brought the wrong plates more than once, and nobody ever apologized or acknowledged the mistakes.

As for the food itself, it was mediocre at best. Almost every item on the menu had an asterisk indicating it was frozen, and it definitely tasted like it. For a ramen place, I expected much better quality and care — instead, the whole experience felt careless and poorly managed. Definitely...

Premetto di essere un grande amante del ramen, in particolare nella versione Tonkotsu, e devo dire che questo ristorante mi ha stupito per la qualità del cibo: decisamente superiore alla media romana, cosa che non è affatto scontata.

Il Tonkotsu aveva un sapore intenso e deciso, forse un po’ troppo per i miei gusti, ma molto vicino a quello autentico giapponese. Ho provato anche il Kazan, consigliatomi perché avrebbe dovuto avere più chashu rispetto al Tonkotsu classico. In realtà, la quantità era la stessa, solo disposta a formare una “montagnola” scenografica che ricordava un vulcano. All’interno, però, il ripieno di germogli di soia è risultato un po’ deludente. Il gusto complessivo era comunque piacevole, non eccessivamente piccante, ma il macinato ha finito per coprire il sapore del brodo Tonkotsu, quasi scomparso.

Se sul cibo quindi il giudizio è positivo, purtroppo il servizio è stato la vera nota dolente. Personale gentile e volenteroso, ma la gestione è apparsa confusa dall’inizio alla fine (forse anche perché il locale è appena partito). Subito dopo l’ordinazione ci è stato portato un calice di vino mai richiesto; accortisi dell’errore, si sono scusati spiegando che c’erano problemi con le ordinazioni, e ci hanno chiesto di ripetere i piatti. Successivamente, i tempi di servizio sono stati sbilanciati: il Tonkotsu e l’antipasto sono arrivati subito, mentre per l’altro ramen abbiamo dovuto attendere circa 15 minuti. Sarebbe stato preferibile servire entrambi i ramen insieme, evitando che uno dei due dovesse aspettare raffreddando il proprio brodo.

Ancora più lunga l’attesa per un semplice refill di noodles, chiesto dopo aver finito i ramen: dopo circa 20 minuti non ci era stato ancora servito. A quel punto, innervositi, abbiamo deciso di alzarci, pagare e segnalare il problema al personale.

Un’ultima nota: sul tavolo c'era un depliant dove c'era scritto che, lasciando una recensione su Google o su altre piattaforme, viene consegnato un gadget. Questo inevitabilmente può influenzare molte delle valutazioni positive che si leggono online.

In conclusione: il cibo è di ottima qualità e merita di essere provato, ma il servizio è ancora lontano dall’essere all’altezza. Con più attenzione e organizzazione, il locale potrebbe davvero...
