I Butteri — Restaurant in Rome

Received a terrible piece of meat, smelled not good. Upon telling the waiter and requesting a new one, he just gave us a bad look and refused to change the meat, saying it was top quality. The said piece of meat was anything but that, abundant in bone and thick hard fat. The smell had that hint of repulsive stench that bad meat starts to have when left too long outside and bacteria starts to form. I had our ''neighbours'' smell the meat too, just to double check if it wasn't me having a funny nose, and they concurred.. the meat did not smell eatable. My girlfriend's stake wasn't smelly, but it was dripping blood even though we stressed more than once that she wanted it well cooked. The potatoes and the beans did not look freshly made, I wouldn't be surprised if they recycled them from past plates. The prices are as high as way better restaurants, with much classier service and much more comfortable seating arrangement.

Overall, a very bad experience on all sides. Moreover, they still charged us full price. We had seen the reviews on tripadvisor, and many warned about bad incidents and overall unpoliteness (almost half of the reviews were between 1-3 stars), but we decided to give it a go anyway, being in the area.

We thought we’d enjoy our last evening meal in Rome in this restaurant. We asked for a table and the blonde waitress who greeted us never smiled was very unwelcoming. We ordered a Bottle of wine which took 20 mins to arrive after having to remind them. The pasta was overloaded with salt and I’ve tasted better microwaved meal ones. The whole meal was awful. We hardly ever complain but it was probably one of the worst restaurant meals we have ever had. We expected so much more being in Rome. The waiter was friendly though and apologetic. Birthday meal also so, very disappointing. Such a letdown on our last evening. You also get pestered by sellers...

prima di andare in questo ristorante vi dovete vedere il menù in anticipo perché non potete parlare fra di voi cosa prendete.. la cameriera MARIA tornerà al vostro tavolo ogni 2 minuti per chiedere se siete pronti e se rispondete di non ancora vi risponderà "è dai ragazzi pero" (parole esatte) hoo. 😅che ansia già al primo 10 minuti.. dopo di che dovete specificare che volete l antipasto prima poi il primo poi la carne. perche se no vi porteranno tutto insieme. manco a metà pasta ti arriva la carne buttata così al tavolo senza dirti niente. ps. NON POTETE FAR TAGLIARE LA CARNE NE SCEGLIERE LA COTTURA perche abbiamo chiesto e la cameriera maria ti risponderà "tagliatevi da soli. vi do un coltello"(parole esatte). a metà carne se decidi di fare la pausa reggiti forte il piatto perché per l'efficienza del nostro famoso cameriera maria ti sparecchierà il piatto e posate mentre ti sta chiedendo se si puo giustamente. dovete allenare i vostri riflessi perche in arco di mille secondi shooo 💨 via il tuo piatto e posate.. e se lo fermi ti metterà lo stesso posate che lei ha toccato con le sue mani. 🤢 dopo questo se non hai piu la pazienza puoi andare a fare il tuo reclamo.. pero resti sicuro che 2 secondi dopo che torni al tavolo la nostro carissima maria viene da voi a dirvi "CHI DI VOI È ANDATA AL PRINCIPALE MIO A DIRE CHE VI METTO IN FRETTA?" (parole esatte) oooooh che paura🤩 e in tutto ciò manco una scusa o almeno un po di umiltà ho sentito.. dopo questo per noi è andata abbiamo deciso di far alleggerire il lavoro della nostra carissima maria..non abbiamo più chiesto nulla su di lei.. fra acqua menu e dolci abbiamo approfittato gli altri camerieri e la e stata salvata almeno gli ultimi 10 minuti di questo incubo di cena. tutto sommato manco abbiamo più apprezzato il cibo.. trattate così mai piuu. mai mai mai piu.. dovevamo scappare ai...
